Assumptions:
-Playing in college not pros.
-Running a base 4-3 or 8-3.
-The four 320lb players are all 2nd round NFL talents.

My thought is that with eight 160 lb guys you'd have an unstoppable pass rush, so that would allow your safeties to just play the run full time with the 3 linebackers solving that issue.

Coworkers are arguing that you would just run the ball up the middle every down with a big QB or strong RB and get 3 yards... because even if you left 3 guys totally unblocked they could never make an impact on the play coming from the edge and the guys in the middle would get pancaked as soon as the whistle blows.

And yes, only 30 more days until football.

As for me... what is the O we are playing against? Is it the Spread? Is it Power I? Is it balanced? Does it favor the pass over the run? How big is the other Oline? How quick is the other Quarterback? How quick are my LBs? How quick are my DBs? Do we play a press or zone scheme?

Answer all of these, and I will give you my answer.
