I didn't think you were being sexist. And you're right. It is hard to find a really funny woman comedian. However, do you know Lisa Lampenelli? She is hilarious, but rather raunchy. Then on the other hand, Sara Silverman could fall off the planet and I wouldn't care she is not in any way, shape, or form funny to me at all. Sooooo...that being said, here's my top 5:

1. Monique
2. Somore
3. Tina Fey
4. Lisa Lampenelli
5. Roseanne

I really want to see Bridesmaids. As far as stand up I really enjoy old school comedy, Red Foxx, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy (raw is the best thing EVER) Ralphie May, Ron white...etc I can name male comics all day.

MoNique as #1?? I might have seen her in some stand-up and some movies, I'm not sure she's crazy funny. Is she?

I know nothing about Sommore.

Fey is very funny.

I actually don't like Lampenelli that much, and I really like Silverman. I don't either is really a giant of female comedy, although due to lack of numbers they basically are.

Roseanne...eh.

Eddie Murphy Raw is the best, I agree.

This isn't my favorite movie but I highly recommend you guys go see Horrible Bosses. It's truly funny and not too dirty that it makes you cringe ever four seconds.

Not a movie, but a great documentary (I saw it last night): "Magic & Bird: A Courtship of Rivals"

100% agree on this. Silverman is close to brilliant. Lampanelli is an absolute pig and a vile human being. I couldn't be more offended by a person or find a person less funny. I'll always side with a more cerebral comic over one that simply makes an a.s.s. out of him- or herself, and there couldn't be a better example of that distinction than Silverman/Lampanelli.

Sara Silverman licked a dog butt! Yikes! Oh but on a side note...I saw the Donald trump roast, and Marlee Matlin is pretty comical.

Someone has had to have said Tommy Boy, right?
I'm watching it currently on Comedy Central. One of the best movies. EVER.
