Just voted 100 times.

"F*** Georgia."

-From Johnny, with love

P.S. If you're inclined to join the battle, download Google Chrome, and use Incognito windows (Cntrl + Shift + N) to vote repeatedly.

This must be a ploy by Google to get us all to download Chrome... added a good 20 votes... here's hoping they count!

I have been committed, I mean instead of pre-partying before I go out. I have just been sitting on my lap top voting and drinking until we leave. Hope it works.

Does voting incognito actually work tho?

I'm thinking not.

Our time would be much better spent dispersing this information elsewhere on the internet.

If anyone is members of other message boards, call to arms.

I've already gone to 247 sports and Gold Helmet.

How can you know for sure the total vote count refreshes every 5-10 min so you don't really know if that vote was counted

Nah. I have voted using IE and Mozilla Firefox. With Firefox, I just go to tools, then clear recent history, and I can vote about 15 times a minute.

It's lookin doubtful we pull this one out.

The SEC is really stickin' together now they know LSU is toast at the hands of Seminole spear... lol.

And for the generations too old to understand the importance of the game: I am median between yours and the younger generation set on videogames.

College age kids play this game like crazy!

Here's an example of the hatred:

seminolesfsu1851
"People come here that are not Notre Dame or GA fans just to vote against ND."

yeah, you're absolutely right. and there's a reason why most other fans in the country dislike notre dame. i personally have no problems at all with your alma mater. i am not trying to throw any fireballs to enrage ND fans, this is just my observation and an explanation for the notre dame hate: it's not because people are jealous of ND's past success. unfortunately, people only care about "what have you done for me lately." most (but certainly not all) ND fans i have ever come across did not go to ND and still act like they have something on people who actually did graduate from college. the other part of it is that they seem to think God favors notre dame over any other school. by that logic, ND should have won the last 25+ championships in a row. as a Christian, it's sounds really silly to hear other Christians say that God favors their team over others. it's like gator nation pretending they're the moral authority of CFB because of tebow. We all have sinners and we all have both Catholics and Protestants on our teams, the fact that notre dame is a "Catholic" team, (don't even try to tell me that some of those guys are catholic) isn't gaining ND any favor in His eyes. you're not fooling the big man upstairs. we're all south of heaven so there's no need to pretend you're "God's team."

And another:

Notre Dame's best fans are either 90+ years old or dead.

They lived the glory years. They witnessed the greatness.

Notre Dame fans today are the types that "putoff" the college football community with their sense of entitlement. And their unearned superiority complex.

If you feel that there are "haters" out to get you, ask yourselves why you truly think those people are here in the first place. Is it because of how Notre Dame was represented back in the 40's and 50's? Or is it because of how you are representing the colors right now.

I find it funny that the biggest national representatives of the university are Regis Philbun and Lou Holtz. Die-hard, loyal with the wallet Notre Dame fans are a dieing breed. Literally.

Their fans today are failing to maintain the traditions of such a great university.
That's why I say Notre Dame is more about History than Tradition. They are failing to properly pass along to younger generations what the world saw 60+ years ago.

As you can see, these guys think they are so wise and beyond normal comprehension.

It's sickening, to me, really...

I always thought it was because the ND fans were "arrogant" or things like that. Never knew religion played that much of a role into the hatred. Interesting. Apparently that person must not realize, "God's Team", is just a saying and not actually a fact.

I have come across quite a few people who mention the Catholic 'thing' when talking about why they dislike Notre Dame.

Well, I suspect that I am going to be lit up for this comment, but so be it. I have experienced the same thing, most recently a couple weeks ago when I was in Savannah, GA. But, the negative comments were not by people who dislike Notre Dame because of its Catholicism. It was by Catholics who have become increasingly disappointed and disillusioned with the direction in which they see the University going. I've had this conversation through PM's with several members of this board, and I know I am in the minority. But, the conversations I had with other Catholics at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Savannah, among other places, confirm that this perception, at least, is more widespread than just the conflicts in the University's current administration and among the faculty and alumni.

Notre Dame is in a perpetual Catch 22. Within the Catholic community, many view ND as very progressive and "out there" as far as doctrine is concerned. For many non-Catholics, ND is considered to be extremely conservative, to the point of being "out of touch" or "backward".

In other words, compared to other national universities, ND is among the most conservative. Among Catholic schools, especially those like Steubenville, ND is considered to be Catholic in name only.

There's really no way to reconcile the desires of doctrinaire Catholics with those who want Notre Dame to remain a prominent academic institution.

Killz: Voted already. Unfortunately, am not computer savvy enough to do the multiple vote thing. But, hope my one is the one that pushes us over the top.

Whiskey--Most respectfully, I don't agree that the "either/or" proposition you set out is accurate. But, maybe we can have the conversation elsewhere sometime, since I get the feeling this thread isn't the right place to do it. There is an immediate victory to procure.

Sounds like me and the Stones. Or whiskey. Your obsession is probably little less taxing (and cheaper) over the long haul.

I've put in dozens of votes tonight as well. Not including the 10 people I've notified to vote for the Irish on this too. We'll come out on top...
