Anyone following the US Open? Rory Mcilroy is -11 thru 15 holes, 8 strokes in front of the next best player. Phil is struggling to stay at E. And Tiger is home counting his money.

I will be there tomorrow. Hope it stays competitive. Imagine if he didn't collapse at the Master's... we'd be talking about the next great golfer. He has played really well in 3 out of the last 4 majors.

Sorry to disagree with you....but we're already talking about the next great golf phenom.
McIlroy is just an amazing golfer, and just listen to an interview with him...this kid is leaps and bounds more in maturity than a lot of people 20 years older than himself.
I have high hopes for him,and almost cried during his collapse on Sunday at the Masters...that was awful....but this is his week. He's not going to let up.
First person in U.S. Open history at any point of the tournament to hit -13.WOW.

The dude is freaking killing it. He's 10 shots up. Putting on one of the best performances since maybe TIGER in 2000 at Pebble.

Praying to God he doesn't fall apart. Couldn't bare to watch him Sunday @ the Masters. Just awful.

The double on 18 really puts a sting into what was the best 35 US Open holes ever played!!! Rory is amazing, and just needs to keep his head, and he will be the youngest US Open champion ever.

Rory McIlroy was born to be a lady killer with that name. He is an amazing golfer. I wish I were golfing right now.

I still like Veejay Singh.

So the US Open is a lot of fun. First golf tournament I've ever been to. Highlight of the day was almost getting hit by Phil Mickelson on #12. His ball hit the tree right in front of me and I got to stand a couple feet away from him for his next shot. I only got to see Rory play one hole (#10) and he sadly went in the bunker on his tee shot and got a bogie. Was really surprised to see him play that hole so aggressive with how treacherous the pin placement was. TONS of bogies on #10 while I was watching it.

Probably not too much to cheer about if you hung around 10 a lot. Most brutal hole on the course, IMO. Lots of bogeys for sure.

Rory with a 68 today. Still pretty damn good. Gonna take a huge meltdown tomorrow for him to lose this. Hopefully doesn't happen. Such a likable guy.

We could be watching the next great superstar. What are the odds that the US Open might be won in consecutive years by guys from Northern Ireland. Looks like Tiger inspired more kids from around the world than right here in the US.

Like golf... when I play it... but as a spectator sport I've never understood how so many people can watch it... it's like NASCAR... driving 180 and turning left is freakin cool... Watching someone else do it??...

just my two cents.

If you like golf in any way, it shouldn't be that hard to at least watch the major championships on television.

I just wish Rory was from Ireland and not that heathen country that is a pawn of Great Britain.

not only that, they are from the same county or whatever you call it....area? anyway, the odds of it ever happening and it does are pretty cool

good kid, nice win and i look forward to many more. hopefully this will spark tiger too. and we could see these battle it out for years to come.
