Reported today, the Dr. from Michigan who had assisted in over 100 deaths has passed away. In related news, when questioned about his involvement in the death, Jim Tressel said "I don't know anything about it".
Well, sure was an interesting concept.
Reminds me of the movie "The Sea Inside" with Javier Bardem (the bad guy from "No Country for Old Men...").
I lean toward assisted graceful death at the moment.
Anyone?
I have to be careful not to over-step my bounds with the lord.
I had a brother that killed himself.
Having had the opportunity to know his love for God, I cannot see him not having grace.
He was afflicted with mental delusions.
Johnny, sorry for your loss, I hope that time and family helps to heal the wounds that followed.
You know my man, time heals all.
Thanks.
I just have a different perspective on some things I never thought I would have prior to the incident.
The bible has brought me much peace.
Dr. Kevorkian will have to be judged by only God.
It's impossible to say what's in the man's heart.

There are stories to be told by all of us. Some are yet unscripted. Most, mine included, involve tears many years down the road.
My mother passed away in 2000. She suffered from cancer and Alzheimer's. I held her hand, kissed her on her forehead and whispered "It's time ... we love you ... go in peace" as she drew her last breath.
****. This is hard to talk about to this day. I was grateful for the hospice/healthcare personnel there in the final days with medications that made her last moments somewhat tolerable and somewhat dignified.
My father passed four years earlier. Sadly the DNR he'd drawn up some months before got lost in the shuffle. He needlessly suffered for five days.
Kevorkian may have been an arrogant *** to many, but no less arrogant than many, many others on the other side of the fence.
When my time comes, as surely as it will, I only ask that I be allowed the arrogance of doctors such as Kevorkian rather than the arrogance of doctors who feel they'll "earn their chops" by keeping me "alive" for a meaningless five weeks.
Godspeed, Doctor.
