How does this guy not have more offers with his speed, balance and vision? Is his competition level not high? Compare those highlight films to Theo Riddick and Cierre Wood... not much difference. Theo may look a tad 'quicker' on his cuts and Cierre might look like a slightly better overall athlete... but my point is the difference seems very slight and Theo/Cierre were both elite prospects. You'd think this guy would at least have more offers than just from the low-tier Carolina schools and Memphis.

There are people in NC who believe he is better than Keith Marshall. I am
not in NC so I don't know.

As proof, they cite----Both played against one common foe who was reputed
to have a great defensive team. Marshall had 30 yds total on the day
Mangus had almost 300. I rest my case.

Went to Clemson and NC State recently. Offered by Minnesota and NC State.

Said no other visits scheduled, but he really wants to get to Notre Dame

If there truly are people in NC who think he is better than Marshall, sign him up now. I don't care if it's not true but if they are even in the same class of RB then that is good enoug hfor me.

Then he had only approx. 900 total yds. the remainder of the year (just shy of 1,200 yds. total each of past 2 yrs. per his stats). 900 yds. over the other 8-9 games isn't earth shattering. Not saying he is or isn't better than Marshall ... he evidently was "unstoppable" for that nearly 300 yd. performance though!

I'm pretty sure he said total yardage of 300. That would include rushing, receiving and kick/punt returns. That 1,200 yards, which you subtracted 300 from, was his rushing for the season. So your assumption is incorrect.

We are trying very hard to get both - Marshall at RB and we are recruiting Magnus for slot receiver.

Profile's updated.

ND and MN are the only out of region offers he's picked up so far. Mostly ACC offer but no UNC or VT so far.

This is all just word around town so take it with a grain of salt, but I heard VT was very sparse on their RB offers in general this year because they have limited schollies, have a lot of promising guys on the roster and already have a commit from a guy they really like who is a really quick little guy. So I wouldn't use that as any kind of indicator.

Can't give any insight on UNC.

I think OMM mentioned VT was looking at a low number for the year in another thread tonight.

VT has 5 RB offers out per Scout. One of those offers is to their commit, J.C. Coleman who at 5-7 170 is smaller than Mangus although I believe he's a tad quicker.

I mentioned UNC as he's a local but then Keith Marshall lives in the same town. Scout shows UNC with 8 RB offers out. Half of those are Unranked RBs by Scout while they have Mangus as their #30 RB.

It's early in the year but I'm surprised at no offers from UNC, GT, and VU.
