Per Scout:

Scout.com confirmed that C.J. Prosise got his offer from the Fighting Irish earlier tonight and when he called back he let us know that this offer from Notre Dame puts them in the driver’s seat for his services right now.

Looks fast for his size. He plays in a weak league, but you can't fake big and fast.

Can never tell the player he will be by his offer list & number if stars. This kid looks like he can develop into a solid player that can help us in the future. I trust our staff that they see something in this to warrant an offer.

Speed and size.

I really really like this kid.

Awesome offer....I'm expecting more big offers to come.

kid's a stud and he looks like he has a frame to support another 20 pounds or so...reminds me a bit of David Bruton.

This is a perfect example of a kid with quick feet, even though his legs don't look like they're moving so fast. This kid must be another underreported player with damn near unlimited potential. Talk about a man playing in a boys game . . .

That's exactly what this is. His school is an extremely pricey boarding school in Virginia. College lacrosse coaches probably know what it is, but football coaches probably have no reason to look very often.

As far as his lifting goes, he probably just isn't lying. A 205 bench is not bad for a 17 yo 6'2, 190 lb. junior. He'll improve and he has what you can't teach: speed and frame.

I love some of the numbers that you see 165 lb. CBs claiming.

Center fielder type no doubt...I will tell you one thing, he will help out the kick return game the minute he steps on campus.

If I was this young man, I'd pop the cork on the offer quickly. He could well be the last DB. If he verbals, do we even leave the door open for a Wright or a Reeves?? We don't have unlimited scholarships and if positions like QB,TE,LB, RB etc start falling, then four DBs will probably look correct to Kelly. We will not give up on the idea of a flock of OTs and WRs [nor two RBs], so ... time's a'wastin'.

i've thought this for a while about a lot of DB prospects, but that doesn't seem to be putting them into any rush

They have to weight against it the 3 studs in the secondary already committed. Some may want to be a presumptive starter without having to battle classmates in the same year.

I beleive no matter how many DBs we have commited there will always be a spot for Shaq, Geno Smith and Tracy Howard if they wanted to commit.

Can't remember which one, but one of Kelly's position coaches (Martin?) said we want to take 5 DBs this year, and I don't think that includes Badger.
