I've had a few hours to look over this bracket. Singleton is FSU's best player but he has missed the past few games and I don't imagine he'll be ready for the tourney. This is huge because he is their best defender and likely would be matched up with Hansbrough.

If we can make it past the first two rounds, it looks like it'll be Purdue unless Gtown can get Wright back. Purdue has been cold as of late but a matchup with JaJuan Johnson would require us to do a much better job of rebounding and a tough effort from Carleton, Tyrone Nash and Cooley. I say we could pull it off.

Now Kansas is interesting because of the Morris twins... but would be a great game to watch either way.

More then likely Singleton is gonna play. He was warming up during the ACCT, but they held him out to play it safe.

Plus I doubt he'll be guarding Hansbrough. Singleton's a 6'8" forward. Asking someone like that to guard a pg is a lot to ask plus factor him coming off injury.

Ahh, didn't realize he was that big. That still makes it a tougher matchup though.

To expand on what KPENN is saying here, Singleton = Carlton Scott of Notre Dame. Not a great direct comparison, but Singleton has length and is very good scorer. Without Singleton, FSU sucks. With him, they are actually a very solid team. He should be good to go by Friday but we won't know until that game if he is 100% or not. Rest assured we are rooting for Texas A&M... they are very average and predictable.

So, this is my first year interested in ND Bball! Where do we stand? Who do we play next and when?

Many people said ND would be in Chicago even if they got a #1 seed, I didn't think that was true. Here is some evidence that says it was not...I'll take the #2 and Chi-town placement! If my team looses in our tournament this week I'll be there!

The same goes for Notre Dame, which lost out on a No. 1 seed but will be just as pleased as Matt Painter's team with its first-round location. Notre Dame may be disappointed to miss on a No. 1 seed, but which would the Irish prefer: The No. 1 seed in Anaheim? Or the No. 2 seed in Chicago? I wouldn't be surprised if Mike Brey chose the latter. Sweet home Chicago, indeed. By Eamonn Brennan

He's wrong. It's all based on location. You were wrong as is the guy with the weird first name.

It's based on what #1 seed you are...for example Ohio state stays closest to home because they are overall #1. ND would have been last #1 therefore play in the furthest region...

Chicago isn't a region. It's a 2nd and 3rd round host. ND would have been in Southwest if they had been a #1 seed but they still would have played in Chicago.

Thanks mate! :) So its now elimination? One loss and your gone? Sorry, don't really know how it all works :/

Yep. One loss and we're done. We're a 2 seed, playing a 15 seed in the 1st round, then playing the winner of the 7 and 10 seeds the next round.

This is right. We were going to be in Chicago regardless. Someone a month or so ago on ESPN (it was probably this guy Brennan again) put something up about how it would be better for us to be a 2 seed in Chicago than a 1 seed somewhere else. I'm guessing this was based off of looking at mock brackets at the time, and seeing that we were in Chicago as a 2 seed. For the record, Joe Lunardi and SI's guy had us as 1 seeds playing in Chicago as of a couple days ago, so we were in Chicago either way. It was definitely incorrectly printed somewhere a while ago (and then again yesterday by Brennan) that we would not be in Chicago if we were a 1 seed, so I can see why there is/was some confusion.

After all of the incredible basketball action the past 6-7 days, today/tonight is dragging.

I'll watch soccer tomorrow night. Thursday I'm getting a **** load of food and beer and holing up all day. It's going to be a good day if Butler wins.
