I mean no disrespect to you my chocolate chip cookie loving friend....

But I am from the old school.

Be tougher my friend!!! That's what ND has been missing since 1988. You can't cry 'cause you miss your mom making you cookies!

I feel like that drill sergeant from the GEICO commercials - "you know what makes me sad? you do!!"

I'm hitting the HGH and weightroom so I can get back in playing shape for ND fantasy camp next year!

Wife says I can go for my 30th B-day next year.

Any of you guys ever been? Is it worth it?

I will say this, when Notre Dame wins their bowl doesnt it make life during the offseason just feel better? I mean seriously I'm in a good mood talking about football this offseason. :)

agreed! but its like, with a loss I wouldn't be anticipating next season sooo much and it'd make it somewhat easier but with a win I just can't hold my horses (hence this thread) for it to begin. but yea...always want to end on a win!

I don't remember!

LOL :D

Yes senor. You are absolutely right. I will have to find a way to be tougher, is there an IE Boot camp?
Thank you Drill Sergeant From The Geico Add :) I will do my best not to make you sad no more.
Actually, it was cause she did make cookies on a Saturday but there was no game that made me sad. Hence why I shared them with you all and brought back great memories!

You old schoolers gotta teach us youngun's how deal with this kind of stuff. :)

Exactly. Problems now need to be blamed on the past generation(s) faults.

This old timer would recommend a certain brownie recipe. The cookies would absolutely come in handy later once the brownies kicked in.

The time will just float by.

That's cool. I've never done one, this will be my first. I'm aiming towards the second half of July. Swimming a quarter mile in a pool is one thing, the ocean is an entirely different animal. I want the water to warm and get a solid month of bay/ocean swimming before I take on the North Atlantic competitively.

I live in Iowa, so no Ocean swimming for me! Lakes are all we have around here. We'll have to keep eachother updated. I need to start swimming, obviously the most daunting task for someone who's never swam competitively. Just bought a book, and I'll let you know if it's any good.

haha! :D okay...do pass along such a recipe ole wise one ;).

Well, it's been about 37 years since I've partaken – and i've never baked any myself. I can only guess that any recipe or mix will do. Just be sure to prepare the "herbage" by sweating it in butter (ghee/clarified butter preferred) beforehand. In today's cholesterol conscious world I imagine extra virgin olive oil would suffice.

The idea is to fully release the essential "oils" prior to baking. Bon appetit!
