I'll say it again...I will be shocked if Harbaugh goes to Michigan.
Unless it is his unquestioned No. 1 goal in life to be the coach at Michigan, I don't see him going anywhere near this mess.
Right now his stock is sky high, and even though it's Michigan and everything, he would still be "settling" if he went to Ann Arbor.
I keep saying it...if he really wants to coach at Michigan and if he really believes in himself as a great coach, the position will be there in the future.
Why would he look forward to fitting a square peg in a round hole with D-Rob as a drop back passer, a bunch of tiny receivers and running backs, in a switch from the spread to pro-style?
Why would he want to take over a Michigan team with the worst defense in school history, with about one quality player?
I just don't see this happening. Unless he really, really, really can't pass up this opportunity because he thinks someone else will do well at Michigan or he thinks his stock will decrease at Stanford or in the NFL...I would wait for another coach or two to turn things around a little bit so that when or if he does go to Ann Arbor it's not the complete mess that it is right now.
