BTW, this is multiple choice. Maybe we will sign multiple remaining recruits? Maybe poach a few...

I "voted" only for Ishaq Williams [in my "realist" mode]. I also suspect that Kelly will get signees from one lineman of some sort, not on the list above, one slot receiver or flanker [possibly Carlisle], and the long snapper. That's four more commits than right now. That crew will occupy, one per position, every activity on the field except one o-line spot, nose tackle, and punter [if Brindza can't do both]. And Kelly will have provided one extra DB. It would be pretty darn good coverage of needs. If studs like Niklas, Scarlett, or Richardson can pop, so much the better. Notice how heretical I am about not getting another RB.

So which lineman are you leaning towards? A poach? Martin?

I did forget the long snapper. Dang. I forgot the kid's name. I'll have to look it up and request a "mod"ification by a "mod"erator, in "mod"eration of course.

To Johnny: in my realist's mode, I'd think that Nick Martin would be our best shot and a good one. We might well be looking at other poaching with all the coaching changes out there [nice to have a stable staff of our own]. In my romantic mode, I feel, not reason, that one of the Hawaiian powerhouse guys, like Asiata, would be potentially a monster. For no good reason I see the Steelers' Keamotu [possible miss-spell] in him.

I don't see Huggins picking ND. Can you really say he is a RKG? I haven't read anything on rivals or here that has led me to believe that he even wants to be a Domer. It feels like it's just another option to him. I could be completely wrong but thats just MHO on Huggins. I'd rather the Cam McDaniels that really desire to be here than the Huggins who aren't passionate about ND.

Apparently you aren't the only guy that feels that way. After 11 voters, he has yet to be picked. He is still a top target though. If he committed on NSD and put pen to paper, I'd be happy he was Irish.

But Cam is special. Everyone feels we got a special kid with him. I can't wait to see what he does for us.

Indeed. If we get Ishaq, Carlisle and Scarlett this class goes from being very good to borderline exceptional. But Ishaq is both the most important and most likely get of the three. We need to get him on board.

Nah.

No worse than we have had to endure every year since I can remember. Lynch hurt earlier. I'm numb otherwise. And now, if we secure what we already have committed, I'll be an ecstatic fella.

But to add a few more big fish would be fantastic.

Re O Line targets, is it too late to revisit the Jordan Walsh recruitment? He is highly rated, seemed versatile (Guard/Center), is from a HS that has produced other ND talents (though I can't list them from memory)and had us on his list of schools he was interested in. We may have even offered him. IMO, that would be a good poach.

I hope he's alright. Probably vDepressed. He lost lots of money at the bloody end of the season. Dude had billions. Nowhere near Buffet status now.

I don't know too much about Carlisle but it seems like every year, ND gets at lease one switch from a Stanford committ (T Jones, Nichols, Badger, etc)

I guess Stanford has gotten some ND guys too, Leuders & transfer in Reuland...we'll see.

I would think personally that if ND got Williams/Niklas, the other wouldn't follow suit. Is Williams being recruited as an OLB? 6'6" seems like a big LB or Safety so I've always thought of him as a DE.
