I would like to see Floyd back but we will see. I remember hearing stories about his upbringing and would completely understand him trying to cash in on that payday. I think its great that he is registered for spring, whether he stays or not, he should get his degree, and that is something i love about ND players. Whether they stay or go, they almost always finish.

If you heard about his upbringing you should have also heard about how hard he worked to get into Cretin-Durham, washing dishes, riding his bike to school because he lived too far away for the buses to come get him. He worked his tail off for a good education and I still really think he stays.

You are probably right on that point, but McShay who ranked him as the 5th best junior WR then proceeded to rank him as the 9th best WR overall, so that is not universally accepted.

I would like to say that I think McShay always hates on guys from ND, and I think Floyd is near the top 5 but he also probably knows more than me and most of the people on the board. However, near the top 5 doesn't put him in the first round for sure and it could knock him out of the second depending on how many NFL people agree with McShay, so I disagree with people who say he is a lock for the 1st round (I know you weren't saying that).

Again, I've heard all of the stories about this kid in high school and a good friend of mine grew up in the same neighborhood as him in MN (I'm old though so he's much older than Floyd). I just hope the kid succeeds no matter where he goes and wish him the best if he leaves.

I have thought about this and what kills me about this recently is being an academic school amy have actually hurt us with Juniors staying in comparrison to other "schools" lately... a lot of our players get their degrees in three years... yet you watch, a lot of Bama's players/Florida's and tOSU's players will stay for their fourth year... even if they are projected higher... one thing I can figure... they don't have their degrees and a lot of our boys do, or at least don't need another year for it.

either way it boggles my mind how we can't keep a pro caliber players for four years anymore... maybe I'm over thinking it.

Not sure what Floyd's comments about competing for a national title should be taken to mean. The only way I could understand that is he'll stay if Rudy stays, or maybe he'll stay if we win the bowl game. It's a decision that needs to be made by January 15th at the latest, so I'm at a loss as what other clues he would have about competing for a national title by then.

Let's hope the rumours about Rudy are wrong.

I'm sure both of them have submitted their names to the underclassmen Advisory Committee, and a lot depends on what they say. It's hard to turn down being a first round NFL pick.

It allows you to buy some of the symbols you see under the profiles... for example, my Chicago Blackhawks tag. Press the "user CP" button on top and then the vBucks plaza to get a better sense of everything vBucks. As for those little green squares, they're reputation. If somebody likes a post enough, they'll click add to reputation. This allows us to get a sense of who is known for making good posts and who is just a troll. Though to be honest, most trolls here get banned pretty quick and most people max out reputation after a few hundred posts or so, so it's mostly a way to say, "hey, I liked your post."

Got a feeling the first team to pick him up will be Carolina. It is probably the best fit needing another wide-out and back with JC. Steven Smith needs a compliment and I think Floyd would be perfect.
