Probably so but they are losing a lot of starters, especially on the the OL and DL's and recruiting class coming in next year is only #22 so far.

Their recruiting class is always hovering around the mid teens and early 20's. They recruit and develop talent. Something I hope we can finally do.

Rivals rankings:
2010: 13th
2009: 32nd
2008: 19th
2007: 11th

They'll be more than OK with their class. I don't think Nike will let him leave.

Well, we can probably agree that Chip Kelly is a smart man.

Being smart, he realizes-

1- That his best class of the last four is graduating

2- Florida has a lot of money, for that matter he already has a lot of money.

3- Florida has a lot of recruits that he won"t have have to talk into coming to the Pacific Northwest.

4- All of the traditional powers have had off years, not sure Oregon would be there if Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State goes undefeated.

5- Oregon will be good but will be cyclical year to year whereas Florida can be much more consistent year to year with higher rated classes.

6- Great coaches care more about championships than money. One begots the other.

7- We are Notre Dame

Probably won't happen but I bet he has to give it a thought, and Jeremy Foley does think out of the box.

I really don't see Kelly leaving a program that HE has built up into a National Power that will be backed by fu*king NIKE that will pay out the wingwang to keep him there in the Pac-10. Hell, being a great Pac-10 team may be your best bet for a shot at the BCS every year. It isn't as hard to go through the schedule as the SEC... where even Mississippi State could beat the living hell out of most other teams on any given day.

He stays. He cashes in on a huge raise and extension (Which you know is about to be announced seeing as Urban stepping down is scaring the hell out of every single Duck booster and Nike from here to Guam.

He didn't budge for the U$C job when offered... I don't think he goes to Seventh Circle of Hell... err.... Florida.

With Mr. French declaring schools in the middle of my work schedule, if someone would be kind enough to send me a text of his decision, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks
Bert

Rumors out of Iowa City is that French is definitly not commiting to Iowa. He would be a huge get for N.D.

Thanks for the news...If the inlaws are right, here's to hoping he chooses us over the Ducks.

If that is true, he is going to play for Kelly next year. Sorry, that was too easy. BK and CK kinda look alike too. Perhaps they are related somewhere. lol

I guess I'm indifferent on this one. Considering the limited number of spots we have open and the project that this kid appears to be. Seems to be highly rated on measureables alone.

If he decides for the Irish I hope he contributes to the team a few years down the road.

cant argue with any of coach kellys decisions so far so im going with him on this. hes brought in kids to other programs that might have had some people scratch there heads but there shouldnt be any doubt with him.

Saw this comment on Hawkeyenation.com:
Interesting....because one of the guys whose covering this press conference makes it sound like Iowa is just there for show. He's going to end up looking pretty dumb if French ends up picking Iowa.

I'm at Cedar Rapids Kennedy for Christian French's announcement. Nothing to see here, Hawkeye fans.

@akMontufar ND or Oregon. Iowa is No. 3.

@Hawkmania77 Straight from CRK: Iowa is third for French.
