I feel great mainly because 2010 has been a ****ty sports year for me so this makes it all seem kinda worth it.

Ive stated in other thrreads I felt great after MSU because it parralled my senior year at the time because ND had great momentum that year they were coming on their rivalry game with great hype then they blow it which is what my team did we started 3-0 for the first time in 20 years then got killed by our rivals next week we dug down and beat another rival at their place just like the irish did. UCLA was big because 2 hours after that amazing finish i found out that I would be part of only the second (and so far last) team in my alma mater's history to play in a playoff game. I hold that memory proudly because some of the best players that ever got to play there enver played in a playoff game but I did. The hawaii bowl was also a special feeling because it felt nice to finally win a championship trophy even though it was a minor one after all these years of failing it left a great taste in your mouth after the season was over made it easy to watch other bowl games. Which is my big concern now I wanna complete the season and see them raise a trophy over thier heads this year now I dont care what but that feeling will be almost as sweet as beating USC.

I have to say that this is the first time in a long time that I have felt that ND has turned a corner and is finally heading in the right direction, and it feels damn good. Too bad there aren't 2 or 3 more games to see the D showcase some more face punching.

OMM - that is great. Unfortunately, I also remember that - only in that it makes me on the older side as well.

The best I felt about ND - when Tom Clemens pass settled into the arms of Robin Weber. Sugar Bowl 1973. Sewed it up. ND and Ara 24 Bama and the Bear 23. ND = National Champion. Although not a regular rival, I hate Bama almost as much as USC and Michigan.

The first time I got excited about a win was 2002 F$u, I watched the 2001 U$c game but I took beating them for granted since it was our 3rd straight win...in 1993 I did not appreciate what was going on, yet.

05 Had a few great moments - Weis 1st game @ Pitt blowing them out (how about 4 out of the first 5 games were away and we lost the lone home game before losing home game #2 to USC by bush push). Then when the SEC love was just starting at ESPN we blew out Tennessee. After the willingham disaster this was pure joy, no wonder charlie got the extension...irish nation fell in love.

06 Moments - 1st game of the year G Tech, Mich St, and UCLA games...all great but then everything was done hill after that UCLA which was like the week before Halloween until now.

Ok, this was the best I've ever felt about a win, but it just got a whole lot better!

Welcome to the team Everett Golson!

Well, since we're all a bunch of old guys, I'll tell an old joke, which is only funny (to me anyway) because of the truth that lies within: Know what it says on Bear Bryant's tombstone? "Winningest coach in college football history, BUT NEVER BEAT NOTRE DAME!"
