I go home for nice lunch break today only to hear my brother ramble about this conspiracy theory and he believe the next popular entertainer that's going to die is Eminem because he speak out against the Illuminati. How many of you believe in this?

Haha, this is not something for the Churchgoer. This is power, ceremony, and secrecy stuff. Very well connected people in the freemasonry. The Masons have been linked from everything to the dollar bill pyramid to the design of Washington DC.

Read about the Illuminati and the New World Order online. I think it was founded in the 1700's. Anyways, it's supposedly modeled after the freemasons. Similar structure with people that are very well connected and of substantial power. It's not Lebron or Kobe, I'll tell you that

To use another old fashioned word, it's bunkum. Why in the bloody hell would LeBron or Kobe want to be connected with a group purported to be behind the deaths of Michael Jackson, Martin Luther King, Jr. and John F. Kennedy?

Maybe it was the Knights Templar, The Knights of Columbus or The Daughters of the American Revolution. The B.P.O.E looks pretty sketchy, too, what with their "Exalted Ruler" and all.

I believe the Illuminati bit if it equates to bankers who control the Federal Reserve, own the multinational corporations who are in a virtual fascist relationship with the United States government, and are consolidating wealth at the expense of third world labor and the eradication of the American middle class. I mean, our rights are eroding before our eyes, and our two "parties" can only agree on corporate welfare and eroding liberty.

Some people simply choose to attach the term Illuminati and New World Order to them. Globalization is inevitable, it's the future of humanity, but the way it is being implemented at present only benefits the MNCs and the banks which own them. Here's the thing about all sorts of these types of theories: they seek to simplify a complex world. Instead of exploring reality in all its diversity, they seek to find one overarching explanation. In order to do this, they need to introduce shadowy cables which are powerful enough to control world events with near-omnipotence. Dead super-stars are tied to dead mortgages, planes flying into buildings are connected to secretive presidents, and assassin's bullets are linked to Cuban cigars and flying saucers. And all of this is done in near-perfect secrecy, with only the conspiracy theorist able to lift the veil of truth.

Illuminati, Skull and Bones, Templars, Free-masons, secret societies, I have no doubt that at least some of these exist and that they can wield some degree of power in some scenarios. I even accept that some people involved with them may have some unsavory interests: consolidation of capital and political power, and unending war come to mind. However, there's a huge difference between dictating circumstance and benefiting from circumstances. In my mind, conspiracy theories make good stories but far more interesting are the interactions of billions of people and organizations with limited powers in a world of limited resources.

Human Kind has always tried to come to terms with things that their current science couldn't explain. If lighning struck a tree, and the tree caught fire, the Gods must have been angry etc. This is nothing new to our mental evolution, as science progresses, the "Magic" or unknowns will continue to evolve as well. Giant Mastadon skulls were discovered by ancient Greeks and they believed it was a Cyclops. They believed in these "Magic" creatures for centuries until science could explain the "Eye" in the center of the Giant skulls were the nasal cavity of a mastadon.

As for secret societies, they do exist, but the Motives are extremely blown out of proportion. Freemason's give more to charity and helping the communities than almost anyone else, and still made out to be bad guys.

I watched a show on History about secret societies. I'm not particularly impressed with any of them and I highly doubt any of them have as much power as a lot of people think.

I heard about this org. two years ago and DO believe that they run things economics fashion. I have read as much as I could at the time and feel they are the world type string puller. The stuff about the deaths and pro athletes is a little edgy to believe. I do think they run things.

Illuminati was a small group that disbanded shortly after is birth. Alot of people try to connect them with Freemasons or Knights of Templar. I really don't believe that there is any conclusive evidence that connect these organizations. I however do believe, and am intriqued with the Freemasons as I feel there is still alot to uncover with the history of this organization. These are some of history's great minds and our fore fathers. I'm not sure at what point they began to lose public faith. but for what ever reason they appear not to have as much political punch as they did a century ago. Intriguing to say the least
