Man, I'm so glad I got a chance to meet this kid, and that he was the hero in our greatest win in 10 years. He is an all-timer for me.

WHAT A MANIMAL!!!!!

He deserves to get laid tonight. Twice.

Are you volunteering for one of the two or both???*

I gotta say: it was reminiscent of "real" ND football when a big-*** running back just tore through the opponents.

It was thrilling to hear (and be part of) the HUUUUUUGHES roar from the crowd when he had a good run when I was in the stands for the Utah game.

You done us proud, Mr. Hughes!

*Where's that tongue in cheek font and/or emoticon thingie?

I hope he savors this moment. I was happy to see him and Floyd as the last few off the field. He played out of his mind tonight.

Well done Hughes

Get some tail.

That last drive was of a nostalgic nature. Loved seeing Hughes lower his head and bulldoze thru red jerseys!!

Do you mean Robert Huge?

As in, he ran through the U$C defense like a hot knife through butter. Nice drive...

Crushing those fools! By the way he was perforating the defense you'd think he was getting 10+ yards a carry.

Another great job, Robert!!! You always have found a way to deliver. I've been yaking at my son all year that I wanted to see more of Hughes out there. You were under-Hughesed this year at N.D. at that was our loss. I hope the NFL takes a long look at you if that's what you'd like for yourself. I believe you could do well there. GREAT JOB!!!

There is a video on UND.com from after the game last night. Kelly gave Hughes the game ball after the game. I loved watching him pound the ball last night.

Hughes reminded me of Ray Zellars when he used to run wild back in the day.

Nice read. My favorite part was the end:

"Regardless of how that turns out, Hughes said he has no regrets about his time at Notre Dame.

'It changes you as a man,' he said. 'You learn different things. You get a top-notch education. You meet friends you'll have for the rest of your life.'

Even if he was in this situation two years ago, he said he would not have transferred.

Why not?

'Because I love Notre Dame,' he said."

Glad to see Rob and Duval finish the season was some big plays. Gonna miss those guys.

Still hate the fact Armando got the season stolen from him.
