I hope to god our offense improves in the next week, USC is gonna score 21 to 28 on us, we have to score 5 touchdowns at least.

I'm not sure at this point. Barkley got carted off the field and they are down 20-0 to a mediocre Oregon State team at halftime. I expect a low scoring game.

GoodGawdAwmighty! As an admitted and self-described Old Fart I know that I ascribe to standards foreign to the Text Generation, but please, please, PLEASE explore your keyboard to find the shift key to capitalize now and then! I know you're aware of it since you did use a capital "D" to denote "Defense." There is also a key for apostrophes. And then there's spell-check, a handy-dandy and painless little convenience.

End of rant. Things are a bit foggy and I'm a tad cranky after drinking my way through last night's game. I apologize for my haughty harshness.

When all is said, done and deciphered, I agree with you. A dominant defense from the get-go would have had a major impact on our record this season. Especially since the "score quickly and often" part of Kelly's hurry-up spread offense hasn't quite panned out. Sacrifice time of possession for copious points on the board? All fine and good. Just score the damn points!!! Failing that, shut the opposing bastards out!

Grumble, grouse, grumble. The last two games were to my liking. The offense performed admirably and the defense kicked ***!
