Green Jerseys for Army

I'd actually like to see them trot out an golden jerseys with navy blue numbers. Yeah, yeah, I know that wouldn't fit in with the tradition but I think it would be an interesting concept. There are a couple of websites out there that create mock-ups of alternate jersey ideas....one of them had ND wearing a pro-combat style jersey. I really loved the look but I'm sure that many wouldn't like the look.

For the love of god, please no Nike for ND.... I can't rock Nike gear...ever.

With the way some of the other Nike Pro Combat uniforms look, this one isn't really that bad.

Here's what you need to do:

*Keep the shamrock off the helmet (although at some point down the road I'd still like to see them wear it once).

*Get rid of all the piping on the jersey.

*Put a traditional number font on the jersey, remove the yellow outline and make it just a plain green numerial.

*Change the outline on the monograms and shamrock from yellow to gold.

*Boom..you have a nice classic looking, yet modern and sharp "away" green uniform.

I'm one of the fans who would like to see a full scale switch to green for a year or two.

I'll bet this is fairly representative of what the actual vote would be....and, f.y.i., jayhawk....I'm well aware of the fact that ND doesn't wear Nike as were the folks who did this mock-up. They took the procombat image and changed the color schemes and added the shamrock. I've never used photo shop but maybe the nike logo couldn't be removed or hidden or changed to Adidas. Either way, no need to take it so seriously. It's just a concept. And a fun one at that. It's obviously stirring the pot here a bit.

Nike does a pretty good job at Alabama and Texas among many other teams.

And it's not like Adidas is innocent of designing some heinous uniforms.

Call me crazy but I like it. Tradition will always be tradition but it's time for a little change of the guard.

Well, next week is a road game, so we couldn't have worn them then anyway.

But we COULD wear the road greens (white jersey, green numbers and socks)...
