i was referring to the 10 players Scout has ranked. We have 2 of them and are in the mix for at least 4 more.

yea, I think we have to be the fav. for Jake Heaps, too. ND has been on him like shit on flies, well before he got his star ratings.. that definitely has to give us an edge. That combined with our track record for pulling in elite pro-style QB prospects, and we're sitting pretty. We can pull in a draft class that makes our 2008 class look silly.

As for Heaps... I wonder if the Mike Hart hire and his experience recruiting the Pacific Northwest will have Heaps even more interested in us now. Just a thought.

Then... if Claussen leaves early and Crist happens to break his arm, would you want an impact Freshman in the form of Heaps or a Sophomore with very little ability in the form of the lesser Montana child?

I would rather have 10 great defensive prospects AND the number one QB. While defense wins you championships, you need a semi-competent O in order to win games.

I don't care how good he is. If he is a poor student, or just a plain ol' knuckle head, why would we offer? That's not to say that he is either of the things I described, but it is plausible.

Chance Carter is a beast DE from Illinois, He is ours to lose at this point. Also don't underestimate the Martin commitment. He may end up being the top defensive prospect in the country. It's popular opinion he's the best in the West already.

Want some irony? I see I have posted over 2000 times since September. The irony is that since September, I have probably spoken less than 200 words. Ever see the movie "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?" The tall Indian that doesn't speak (Ahh Juicy Fruit...) well that's me. I'm better looking though. And found it fun to knock helmets off of opponents during my football days. Always caused a giggle..
