Anyone notice that we lost Lynch and he gains a fifth star, and Koyak a long time verbal loses his 5th Star? It seems like this junk happens every year.

Oh well that star is over rated as long as he plays hard and get the job done i don't care if he has 0 stars.

There's no chance of decommitting. I'm gonna be a part of ND no matter what. I'm just not sure if I wanna leave yet.

is he suppose to be an early enrollee? if so i could understand his comments considering i've heard other players who have left early felt they should have stayed in highschool just to have all the experiences (prom and all that)

if he is bound to make it to the NFL he will, but high school experiences only happen once

I totally agree with not wanting to leave early. I never understand how those kids give up all of the high school experiences.

If you think you have a chance to be a big impact player in your first year, I think it's worth leaving early. I think Hendrix made a huge mistake staying home last spring, if Crist comes back or Tommy plays well and we get a stud QB next year it could cost him the chance to ever play... Almost anything you can do in high school, you can do in college. On the other hand, definitely understand why a kid would be having second thoughts.

Yeah but keep in mind Rudolph might be coming back and Koyack would be behind an emerging talent in Eifert as well as Welch and Golic. So best case scenario Koyack is 4th on the depth chart. I'm not sure being around for Spring ball will be enough to catapult him into playing time. Might as well enjoy high school...only happens once.

I know, that's why I called Hendrix a fool and not Koyack. Though, unless I'm getting my Golics mixed up... Jake probably wouldn't play over him, right?

I know it pains some of you to hear this, but I think Kyle is all but gone. Even after the injury pundits are saying that he's the 1st TE taken. That means Eiffert and Welch will be 1 and 2, Koyack will be a 3rd stringer baring any injury. Just my opinion.

Rudy and Crist are boys. Wouldn't be surprised at all if Rudy comes back.

I think you are right, I think there is a real good chance that Rudy comes back. I would guess the chances are better that he comes back than he doesn't.

He's not in a Jimmy Clausen situation where he could/ has to start in the fall. Enjoy high school, work out, get bigger and stronger, and come to ND in June.

Probably just wasn't updated. Scouts and rivals have everyone else as "no interest"

From ESPN UA day one practice notes:

Red team holds early tight end advantage
Red team's two tight ends, Notre Dame-bound Ben Koyack (Oil City, Pa./Oil City) and Jay Rome (Valdosta, Ga./Valdosta), displayed they could be a formidable duo. Both have ideal size for the position, soft hands and are polished pass-catchers. They seemed to be more college-ready than the White team's tight ends, A.C. Leonard (Jacksonville, Fla./University Christian) and Brandon Fulse (Fort Meade, Fla.). Fulse and Leonard, a Florida commit, are good athletes with a ton of physical tools but have played multiple positions in high school, which means they still have great upside.

Koyack :bbanana:

Really looking forward to having him play in the future. We have really been blessed with the outstanding TEs of the past several years and continue to get outstanding talent at this position.
