Wish the kid luck, looks like NFL will be out of the question with this injury. For the last 4 years he was one I was certain was giving it all on the field, his value was greatly underappreciated. He will get a ND degree, he will be fine

and the hits keep coming...

Yeah, tough year injury wise. This is a prime example why I can't see making pre-season "projections" on how many wins/losses a team SHOULD have at the end of the season. From Crist's head injury during the scUM game thru this past w/e; IF the Irish could have gone virtually injury-free (aside the usual bumps and bruises that normally come w/ playing football), I would think the W-L record would be a little more positive than it does now (more like 6-3). Oh well, life goes on ....

I don't think you need ESPNs confirmation when Kelly said it himself just after the Tulsa game.

BK said it again yesterday in the Presser. AA has already had surgery on one of hip, which was really messed up. He will need another surgery real soon and the recovery time should be around 3-4 months.
Go get that degree son.

I tried to post this last night after I read that AA had his surgery yesterday and is expecting to get more surgery in the near future on his other hip. Best of luck to this warrior.

ND nation loves you AA...Best of luck!

Also, I don't think the NFL is out of the question. AA could get himself healthy and sign a rookie FA contract with a team. Maybe he could become an undrafted star like Ryan Grant!

I feel forAA alot on this one, this will hurt his chances of being drafted. But maybe he can slip on to a team via after the draft free agent. But like i said i feel terrible for him simply because he has been nothing but a stud since he arrived, he always seemed to work hard and always stay out of trouble...DAMN this one hurts

You don't come to a place like Notre Dame to play football for 4 years. You come to a place like a Notre Dame to put yourself in a position to be successful for the next 40 years. I know it is cliche for to say, but football can hold such a short career span -- especially for an undersized Running Back. I know that Armando didn't quite live up to the expectations that were set before him when he first signed, but he played hard every game and battled a lot of adversity (post Brady Quinn ND teams, coaching changes, offsensive systems changes, etc.)...

Whether he gets a shot to play on Sunday or not, AA should hold his head high and be proud of what he brought to this football program and University. Best of luck!

I feel bad for Armando. He had a rough career playing behind terrible lines in '07 and '08 and then still getting beat up these last 2 seasons. Tough kid. Wish him luck. He appears to be an undersized back but ND has him listed at 5'10 and 200 lbs. If those are real he might get a look from NFL teams. But if they are exaggerated I doubt the NFL would look at an undersized back coming off two hip surgeries.

The only expectations we should have for these young men, is that everytime they step on the field, they give it their absolute best effort, and AA always did that. You never know about the NFL, he could still make it if things fall right. I wish him nothing but the best, in whatever he does.

AA is a great back. He can pick up the tough yards, he can pick up the blitz and he can catch passes. I can think of 30 NFL teams that could use him.
I hope the Colts give him a look.
