Any updates on Calabrese?? Too bad about Williams, hopefully we can make it to a bowl game, and go out with a win for him.

Not going to waste a redshirt when we have Cwynar and Stockton to play backup. I think Longo needs a full year with him. He will be a beast, but not this year.

I posted this in Kona's profile too. Kona is now listed on the depth chart behind Ethan Johnson and Hafis is at NT with Cwynar now.

I hope Ian can play one more game...he was a great Notre Dame football player! His toughness will always be remembered.

I really hope Williams is able to put on the uniform again. As someone stated earlier, he is the backbone of this defense and it is where it all starts. We need Cwynar to really step in. I wish Williams the very best in a quick successful recovery. Love his toughness and it will be missed the next several weeks.

Yeah it's ashame about Ian Williams. Don't rush his rehab, he's got a bright future ahead of him in football. What about Calabrese? I love him, and his heart. Any word on what his damage was?

Anyone have the video of Williams last play? Do we even know if it was a cut block?

I do wonder if Williams was 100% going in. Didn't hear his name nearly as much pre-injury as I did the past few years.

I actually just got a chance to look at the play fram by frame. Its on my DVR...I'll try and get it up here somehow...

Ian engages the center, right side guard fires out toward the backers. The right side tackle crashes down really hard, but uncharacteristically misses everyone until he gets all the way down to Ian...by that time he was very low...you cannot see clearly the contact, but appearances are he did indeed contact Ian's left knee while Ian was engaged with the center, then the whole line piles up at that point...I will say it appeared to be completely unintentional...Although, by rule it appeared to be an illegal play. A chop if you will.
