You tell me -- are you going to signal in a play that requres reads by both the qb and slot receiver, or are you going to air it out or throw for the sideline where it can't be intercepted, from deep in your own territory? I think a brain scan may be in order for anyone who would call that kind of play in that situation. This is exactly the kind of play that the offense has had problems with this year. And you are at a pivotal point in the half, deep in your own territory? You tell me.

Thank you guys for entertaining me during halftime. It was like watching my 3 year old cousin not get the toy he wanted for Christmas. Good God.

I'm willing to bet about $100,000 that Michael Floyd plays the entire second half. I think this qualifies as an "emergency situation".

From page 5:

All right! what we need is a little positive attitude adjustment. Yes things are tough and our backs are to the wall (somewhat), but we are not the first to face these odds! No, and here is a quote from one of the greatest, who faced the bleakest of odds, much bleaker than our own, er, bleakness:

D-Day: War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.
Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
Bluto: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough...
[thinks hard]
Bluto: the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!
[runs out, alone; then returns]
Bluto: What the **** happened to the Delta I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? This could be the greatest night of our lives, but you're gonna let it be the worst. "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my *** from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Wormer, he's a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer...
Otter: Dead! Bluto's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.
Bluto: We're just the guys to do it.
D-Day: Let's do it.
Bluto: *Let's do it*!

I forgot that Kelly was releasing the ball. I also forgot that he was throwing it at the only player within 15 yards, a Navy player. You are correct. That INT was entirely Kelly's fault. Crist must have been on the sidelines.

Please leave, no one likes you.

I like NDOM. Don't let him fool you. He bleeds blue and gold.

Diaco has shown the ability to make second half adjustments. That's the only hope. I just contacted my "non-internet friends" and analysts long distance. They have stopped watching the game.

don't even waste your breath. this happens all the time.

It does, and I usually don't think it's warranted, but it's seems fitting this week. I don't think there should be any other reaction at this point personally, because we are losing to Navy. Sure Navy is a good team, but I don't think they should ever be able to beat ND like this. ND may come out in the second half and dominate, and get the W, but this is a bad performance. This is of course my personal opinion, and others may have a differing view.

completely outplayed again. why is there never any intensity in this game for ND year in and year out? if we're going to get steamrolled playing straight up football why not attempt some sort of disruption? oh well, hopefully this loss is a substantial building block in our rebuilding process.

Of course it was. All bad passes are someone else's fault.

No, what I am saying is there is no opportunity to make a good throw on that play! Watch the tape and see.

It looked like the same Navy offense to me, I guess there are some subtleties that I missed.

that's my problem as well. there's hardly any emotion on our side of the ball. we just seem to be going thru the motions.

Well...Duck you then. :)

Thinking the D needs to get creative with the stunting and maybe late alignments shifts to confuse the QB. I would not stack 8 in the box. Too easy to break a long one that way.
