Wise move by the Big East. Boise State has to be livid right now hahah

UCF and Villanova are rumored for the Big East too.

I guess they have South Florida, but the travel for TCU will be even worse. If the distance is the same with the MWC, then I guess it won't matter, and they can compete for their pretty much guaranteed BCS bid.

Still don't get why the Big 12 didn't go after TCU and Boise to keep it a 12 team league. I know its all about media and the markets, but it would help from keeping the Big 12 into a two team league.

I love the move by the Big East. They are the best basketball conference in America but football has been a different story. This doesnt put them with the elite confrences but it sure does help take them out of the gutter.

That's true, but if the Big East stays in tact, ND is much more likely to stay independent. That is, unless the 16 team superconferences get a monopoly on the BCS and NC. If that happens, ND's independence will be in question regardless of the Big East.

This conference shift thing has to end. Might as well put Hawaii in the Big East and BC in the Pac-10!

Super-conferences wouldn't be the worst thing as long as a team like Texas stays independent with us, and we can guarantee games with them every year (and keep Mich and USC among some of out other middle-tier rivals)

Just heard on the local ESPN radio station down hear that its official and TCU will join in 2012

I think it is ridiculus that TCU will join the Big East. Geographically speaking it just doesn't make any sense to me. I can see Big 12 but Big East??? Like someone said, that is almost like Pitt or Boston College joining the PAC-10. I think it's time to just rename some of these conferences already. lol.

Thats dumb they are joining the The big east. But i guess when you are trying to get in to an AQ conference you will do anything.

hmm...TCU will dominate this conference. Though this could help some current Big East teams recruit in Texas.
