We will be very successful in the years to come..., just need some time.

agreed, but i agree with cautious optimism, i like BK more than the others, but im no longer going all in on games or coaching hires, no bold predictions, no putting my soul into the game, my heart cant take the physical abuse of another MSU game haha

Can't you see how that sounds familiar...WE NEVER LOST A GAME BY MORE THAN A TOUCHDOWN ALL LAST YEAR.

W-L is what got Weis fired and, right now, Kelly's team is looking a lot like last years. I think Weis and Kelly are both great coaches, I think the program is headed in the right direction, I think we've got a ton of talent but until THE PLAYERS develop some killer instinct we are a 500 team, at best, against good competition.

Yes but that was year 5 of a regime where the coach had all of his recruits for his system and they had regressed from the first two years. That is the difference and that is when Ws and Ls matter... when you should be competing for titles not trying to be competitive and build a program.

I really think they are apples and oranges.

and here is the 7 ton elephant in the room that no one seems to want to mention.....

Could be just my eternal optimism. However, I think with only three games into the season, it's too early to say how this is effecting potential recruits and our current commits. We go 1-3, 1-4, we could start to see some fidgeting but my mind just isn't there yet.

I think the recuits see a team that is in a new system competing with teams that are established...

also...looking at our current commitments (especially D recruits) are excited because they will get every opportunity to play early....imagine the rotation on D next year...?! we will be a tough defensive team...

Agreed. My biggest concern is adding the athletes we need to compete for titles in the future... and every loss puts that more and more in jeopardy. Big game next week against a potentially top 15 Stanford team.
