I've never, EVER bad-mouthed an Irish fan. I launched an over-the-top satirical "attack" against some youngins bad-mouthing older ND football game patrons (a group I identify with more and more each day) which led to my banning. I now take Mods (as in "Mods,"
not as fans) to task for over reacting and wielding power unchecked and without inspection or introspection.

A PM headed "Fuck You" hardly fits the bill of "cooler heads." My "Fuck off" was not necessarily any better, but taken in its late 1960's - early 1970's sense, it was a bit of a jocular "shot across the bow" comment. Moderation in all things ... including Moderating, if you catch my drift.
I appreciate and enjoy the straight forward information brought to this board by you, BGIF and many others as well as side and personal commentary. I admire and thank Pham for his expertise and willingness to keep this site alive and thriving.
I am sad that I joined in too late to interact with and come to know GoshenGipper. There are others who have dropped out voluntarily that I would like to see again. It's the social aspect of this board that drew me in. NeuteredDoomer, with his decidedly skewed and screwball outlook on life, was a huge draw. Cut and dried statistics and recruiting news can be found elsewhere – as you pointed out. But that's not the point, the nub, the crux or the ultimate focus now is it?
What a load. I don't deny that moderating a site such as this is difficult and trying. And done for free. Does that mean that I shouldn't/wouldn't/shan't/can't call "foul" when the situation merits it? Fuck no. This strikes me as a case of "you get what you pay for."
