Michigan getting some votes too. Think the winner cracks the top 25?

I think it should be a requirement for anyone playing an division II school should automatically drop ten slots in the rankings.

I think so. I was surprised how far Pitt fell compared to where Utah ended up. If we do win and get top 25 this early we really could end up decent. But lets not get ahead of ourselves and lets beat Michigan first.

This doesn't matter, Notre Dame will not be high enough to avoid falling out of the top 25 with a loss. It's win or nothing at this point.

I think the winner Saturday is ranked easily. Especially if there are some good highlights and not a lot of penalties. Kind of surprised Michigan didn't get more votes considering the show Robinson put on Saturday.

I think this goes to show the common wisdom that UCONN was overrated. I'm tellin you guys, Michigan is beyond beatable.

Did UConn lose a lot this year as far as players? I thought they were decent last season.

I don't want to be in the top 25 until we deserve it, which isn't now, nor would it be if we beat ND. No offence, but we need to go further before we get that kind of recognition.

They were depleted due to injuries and just flat not as good as people thought they were.

What's weird is it looked like they were stopping Michigan's RB's decently but they couldn't touch Robinson once he took off. I'm hoping ND contains him especially early so they can force him to pass in the pocket more.

ND's job will be to make sure every time Robinson takes it up the middle that they hit him hard enough that he thinks twice the next time he tries it.

Exactly!!! We need to smash him & quick!!! UConn didn't get on him at all. He got 5yds or more everytime. It looked like our D from the past, we knew they were going to run, but we still couldn't stop them.

...Yup...big proponent of taking the QB out of his game early...best way to do that is to commit to GONGING his ass on the first series...what would you call that scheme/script...Manti-earhole...Carlo-makeumwheezee..anyway

I think this guy has a chink in his armor...he and the OC were rewarded for the QB moving the ball into the open field ...I believe their mindset is going to be that he can get himself out of trouble by running it...long story short...if we pass cover like we did against Purdue (except for a couple long routes we blew coverage on) I think we could get some shots at this guy early...even if we don't make it a point to ring his bell early....as long as we don't overrun him, he's going to get hurt trying to make a play...

Uconn doesn't have Linebackers like we do...and our corners were delivering some hits...I just think this kid is going to be beat up...and good or bad...we are going to see Forcier again.

anymore I'm not sure what deserving is...but I get your point...

I just like to fly under the RADAR because its a great formula for a team to build an identity and swagger w/o alot of hype and pressure...both programs need that.

...aren't you supposed to be hating us now...

let me hep ya out

...skunkbear...his coach is rare...the hatter will be right there...oh wait...he don't care
...skunkbear...his cupboard is bare...but don't dispair...your manly cheerleaders are there
...skunkbear...he hasn't a prayer...when he comes to the Irish lair
(chorus of "remember '07, you pile on sons of Hookers...")
...skunkbear...he ain't SC or NC...but he still smells funny
...skunkbear...113K...just not today
...skunkbear...he is big 10...(nothing else to say here...THATS funny enough)
(chorus of "Still Independant you parasitic myopic clowns")
...skunkbear...only gay people say Maize
...skunkbear...running QB...icabod to be
...skunk bear...go away...head hung low...then beat all your other foes

...ahhh this is getting tired...best I could do w/o going X-rated...think of some really insulting shtuff and act like I said it...:)

Michigan has Robinson listed at 6' & 188 pounds (which I think is generous). He looks more like 5'10" & 180 pounds and is recovering from a hip-pointer he suffered late in the game (early 4th qtr, I believe). That's an injury that takes a while to heal; I noticed much less scrambling after that hit.

I don't think it will take much contact to make him reconsider leaving the pocket on mad-dashes this Saturday. One good hit & it'll be payback time for Forcier or "welcome to ND" time for Devin Gardner.

I don't think you can compare our DL with that of UCONN. Purdue's OL is much better than UCONN's as well and we were pushing them around quite a bit. Gardner will be doing lots of running in his own backfield all right, but not by choice. We're going to make him try and beat us with arm and then send his WR's to the infirmary.

I also think we'll see double TE's this week in our offense, BK didn't run them last week so he could add a BIG fresh rinkle against the skunkbears this week.
