there is not and has never been any perspective when it comes to Notre Dame...
to the SEC/Ohio State haters of the world... we are Atlantis, some ancient myth of greatness never to be found again, that may or may not have ever existed to begin with. Everyone should just move on and never discuss ND again.
to the ND fanbase... we are ALWAYS one year away from winning three straight national titles and beating the Miami Dolphins in an exhibition game.

how do we not have speed on D???... we have as much speed as anyone we play expcept maybe SC... our problem on D was a transparent scheme, playing out of position and piss poor tackling more than a lack o speed...

Desmond Howard brings nothing to the show. He's a complete moron.
Another one of our huge problems on D was the lower body strength of the d-linemen. They have all added a substantial amount to their squat max which will help tremendously in the trenches. They will no longer be as easy to push around.

They really showed that, on College Gameday? Wow, that's almost the equivalent of the political attack ad. But, the Gameday crew guys weren't slamming ND. I LOVED Corso's "I'm a former Indiana Coach. I wouldn't pick Purdue if they were playing in Iraq!"
Good stuff. I'm surprised that ESPN's producers would allow such a obviously negatively biased piece like that to make it to the air. But it will only make it that much sweeter, when ND reassumes it rightful spot at the top of the College Football ladder.It was a short piece that was kind of a eulogy slide show with a female narrator with a very somber tone.
I was sitting at the computer typing when the clip came on but I was focused on typing. So I probably missed a couple of slide/pics. The somber voice caught me attention as they showed pictures from around campus (I quoted what commentary I recall)

Fowler had a reaction like he had not seen the clip before and expressed that it was over the top (but I don't recall his words).
It was short, I didn't see it all but it struck me as one of those Faded Glory mini-retrospectives say of the British Empire, or any of the former world powers, like France, that today are merely footnotes to history.

Yikes. I just saw the video. Rather harsh. Some kinda how I kinda think that is a call to ND to get their shit together. Otherwise, it was over the top lunacy not only to create such a slam piece, but also to actually air it on tv. A totally unnecessary and way over the top segment. What the hell is ESPN thinking?

Talk is cheap....ND defence will open some eyes...Teo, Fleiming, EJ, Carlos, Slaughter...Gray....boys there are some althletes there....Game day is still stuck in the Weis Era....this is not 2009! Im so pumped...watch out!

That's what I'm hoping for friend...hopefully kelly/staff has trained up the troops on the D-side of the ball. We'll know pretty quick if we're going to have a football team this year.
ESPN has been dead to me for a few years now. Those f****** make Gomer Pyle look straight.
