Schalbach and Adelson both picked VT and ND to matchup. He has the Orange Bowl and she Champs. Both possible.
Perhaps more interesting is that the pick 10 of ND's opponents on that "easy" schedule to play in bowls. Everybody but WMU and bowl prohibited Southern Cal.
on the way to drop of the little one and work today I was listenting to talk radio... during a commercial I flipped over to ESPN radio since I figured they MIGHT be talking cfb... sure enough the dude in for Colin Cowherd (sorry forgot his name) was talking Notre Dame, he took on Schlabach and Phil Steele's predictions saying ND will lose to Michigan, Michigan St. FOR SURE... Stanford FOR SURE and may lose to Purdue... when asked about the possiblity of ten wins he acted like he went into epileptic shock and basically played it off as utterly ridiculous to even THINK about ten wins...
he noted the schedule is too hard (interesting considering the other view point out there)
and the "complete lack of speed on defense OR offense, which will make it impossible to run BK's system because you must have speed in that system"
I would say picking us to win 6-8 is not that bad, but acting like we have no shot to win big?? and team speed is not and has not been this team's problem... it's been piss poor tackling, playing out of position and blitzing on every single play regardless... also, Cinny has more speed???
anyway, my point is you hear three different people talk about ND from the major media sources chances are you'll get three completely different yet equally insane views and all of it is usually completely purposeful... piss off as many people as you can.
