hey maybe they will have a bet on who has the best endzone dance or performance, maybe they will even put one together where they both perform together.

Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens on the same team? Yeah, that'll work.

hahahahahahahahahahaha exactly what i was thinking! Chad still has a chance to be great. T.O. is past his prime. i will go out on a limb and say that he is WAY past his prime. This whill prolly back fire on the bengals.

While TO may be past his prime, he is still a great number two to have on your team. Perhaps, with age, he has finally learned the value of team. If that is the case, The Bengals offense would be scary. I don't like the risk versus reward here, but there is no denying if it works, it will put the Bengals in a better position to unseat the Ravens.

what is the risk. if he opens his mouth, they release him. he will sign an incentive based contract for 2 million. carson wanted him and so did chad. as a bengals fan, i dont care who they sign as long as they win. for most of my life they have had a horrible team with great guys on the team. i am tired of it. JUST WIN!!!!!!!!!! (dont forget they have pacman as well)

Okay, you want risk, here is a risk scenario. The Bengals have a great first half of the season and go 7-1. TO is a major contributing factor to this because of the coverage nightmare himself and Chad present. TO isn't happy though because he isn't getting enough balls, but he is incredibly beneficial to the offense because teams have to account for him. Do the Bengals just release him and continue on in hopes that the offensive production doesn't drop off? Or do they keep him and ride it out, hoping the team doesn't flop the second half of the season, due to the poisoning by TO? You presume that it will simply be an easy, cut him scenario, but you fail to account for the production he could add to the team, making the decision of cutting him or allowing him to poison the team that much more difficult. There is plenty of risk associated with this move, and if you don't think there is risk to signing TO, then explain to me why he wasn't signed sooner.

Nothing like this is guaranteed to happen, but if you think it is as cut and dry as cutting him, you're kidding yourself. Look at the last few contenders TO has been on for examples. The only reason he got signed was because Bryant hasn't worked out. Why then, if there is not risk to signing TO, did they sign Bryant initially, instead of TO?

This is actually a GREAT move!
I've been an avid Bungles fan my entire life, including all the stress to my body that it brings.
But couple the fact that TO and Ocho and great friends, and Carson Palmer and coach Lewis both lobbying for months to get him, I see this as a great fit.
The bengals needed another athletic wr, and i think he'll step right in and play well.
It's nice to finally root for my cincy teams again.

Ocho Uno is coming to town.

I wonder who TO will call gay this time. First Jeff Garcia, then Romo and Witten, and now ________.

t.o. didnt do nearly as well last year and you didnt hear him say anything and the bills were awful. if the bengals are 7-1 you think t.o. is going to be running his mouth. i dont. if the team is losing then yes i do. they went to the playoffs without him and antonio bryant last year. t.o. wants to continue to play football and i think he realizes that he cant keep doing what he did in the past. from what ive heard is they didnt sign him initially was because he wanted to much money. is that a good enough explanation for you?

Actually, the beginning of the season, when everyone thinks they have a chance at the SB, TO said plenty to the media. It wasn't until he realized the Bills were going nowhere and he needed to keep his mouth shut in order to get a contract this year that he shut up. The man is a media whore, and he always will be. And now he will be battling Chad Johnson for that attention, best believe. It may be great, but it definitely is a risk.

Also, who gets #81? Antonio Bryant wears that #. He also has an ego. He was brought in around the same time as TO, but the Bengals chose Bryant. Now that they decided to bring in TO months later, do you really expect him to give over his number to a guy who the Bengals admitted they wanted less than Bryant? Just one of many subplots.

I don't blame you for wanting to win, but the Bengals actually have gone this route in your lifetime, this decade in fact. It hasn't worked.

This decade, the Bengals lead the league in arrests, with 31. From 2000-2005, 20 (!!!) of the arrest occurred. You've had 'bad' guys, and it hasn't worked out.

If I'm a Bengals fan, I'm puking right now, but that's b/c I hate T.O. with a passion. I can't stand 'me' guys, and he's the ultimate me guy. Team him with Chad, and now you have 2 guys that simply LOVE themselves and the media, almost to the point that they'd rather look good in a loss than look bad in a win. At least that's the way it looks from the outside.

But at the same time, I don't blame Cinci fans for being excited. T.O. was once a great player. Maybe he and Chad will form a great bond and Palmer will return to form and you guys will win your division. Personally, I will not root for you guys b/c I want T.O. to lose every game and look bad doing it until he gets a nice piece of humble pie. When he leaves...I hope you guys do well and bring a championship to your city/state...

i was actually referring from 1991 to about 2002 when the franchise was the worst in the nfl. from 2003 until now they have been slightly above average. as far as the number 81 goes i could care less. all i am saying is that if they win i really dont think you will hear t.o. or chad complain. dont you think t.o. wants to play next year as well. so if he was quiet last year to get a contract, why wouldnt he do the same this season

Possibly, but he won't be in Buffalo where no one cared. He'll be in Cinci with another mouth in Chad, and old habits die hard. Chad will be bitching if things aren't going well, and the media will be all over TO looking for his reaction, day after day. Hopefully for you he'll be calm and won't throw yet another QB under the bus...

You have every right to be excited and feel however you want about this signing, but I believe you are kidding yourself if you think TO is going to be under control, especially once Chad gets in on the act. I just don't believe that you actually said there is no risk in this move. That is a pretty incredible statement considering; A) TO's track record, and B) all the variables on the Bengals, such as Chad Johnson, and the teams history of misconduct. I hope he does behave himself and the Bengals have a great year. Now that is possible, but it is also just as likely that the Bengals team turns into a media circus with TO and Chad there, taking attention away from the game and putting it on themselves. This could be incredibly entertaining, but at the cost of the Bengal's season.

i know the bengals are a laughing stock around the league because of the arrests but look at what just happened with the players from notre dame. i have never been arrested but i could have been about a 1000 times. many of the bengals arrests came from the same people a number of times. chris henry in particular. i am sure everyone thinks i am an idiot for sticking up for my team but i feel like it needs to be done
