i know the bengals are a laughing stock around the league because of the arrests but look at what just happened with the players from notre dame. i have never been arrested but i could have been about a 1000 times. many of the bengals arrests came from the same people a number of times. chris henry in particular. i am sure everyone thinks i am an idiot for sticking up for my team but i feel like it needs to be done

Yeah dude, that's pretty bad. I don't blame you at all for backing up your team, and hey, maybe this signing will be great. But comparing what the Bengals did and what the ND kids did is unbelievably short-sighted and enabling.

Look at Rey Rey...hammered and driving, with a 19 year-old and a SEVENTEEN year-old in the car with him while he plowed into a parked car. Compare that to under 21 kids drinking at a party, NOT DRIVING, none of them plastered at all. That's comparable to you? Seriously?

Here, I'll give you a quick rundown, and we'll see if we have all done this stuff, or as you say, you could have been arrested for '1000 times':

* Chris Henry (Jan. 28th, ’06) – possession of a concealed firearm, improper exhibition of firearm, aggravated assault with firearm

* A.J. Nicholson (June 3rd, ’06) – burglary, vandalism, grand theft,

* Frostee Rucker (June 21st, ’06) – vandalism, spousal battery,

* Reggie McNeal (Dec. 3rd, ’06) – resisting arrest and drug possession

* A.J. Nicholson (May 18th, ’06) – domestic violence

* Odell Thurman (Sept. 25th, ’06) – drunken driving, a 0.18,

* Matthias Askew (July 22nd, ’06) – disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, failure to comply with police officer’s order, obstructing justice

And that's only a handful. Personally, I can honestly say that I've never had the opportunity to be arrested for resisting arrest, spousal battery, grand theft, burglary, vandalism, aggravated assault with a firearm, etc etc. but that's just me.

And to compare ND kids drinking at a party with all those above arrests...wow. You lose all credibility with that one bro.

Wow. Well Doomer and NDinL.A. seem to have covered all the bases already, but I had no idea you could get worse than saying the T.O. signing held no risk. Sticking up for your team is great, we all do it with ND, but if you lose your ability to think critically about your team, you really shouldn't be commenting on them. Back your team up until you're blue in the face, but don't make baseless comparisons and attempt to fight facts with blind loyalty. Everyone on this site would love for you to contribute, but you have to be informed, and realize you may not always hear what you want about your favorite team(s).

i wasnt trying to compare the two. i was trying to say that some of the things the bengals players got arrested for wasnt like it was murder. it was things anybody could get arrested for. now no i havnt gotten away with assault and felonies etc,. yes they have had some serious issues, but people make them all out to be serious criminals when they arent all like that. i dont think what the notre dame players did was serious at all. we have all been there. but the media never talks about the good things they do, just the negative. i think i just may not be explaining myself very well.
