Great news for Remound and family. The more people see of him, the more there is to like. Outside of his talent, he is a very solid you man and is loaded with class. Great kid.
Hope he decides to camp in South Bend and earn an offer!!!!!

After winning the RB MVP at the OSU Nike camp over Justice Hayse, Remound has gotten a visit from Coach Hinton. Coach dropped in to speak with Springmann and Wright today at BD.
Good news coming I hope!!!

They dominate in NJ, Don Bosco (USA Today 2009 #1 Team), Bergen Catholic

Think they do well in Ohio and California as well.

St Thomas Aquinas in FL isn't too shabby (USA Today 2009 #13 Team)

Detroit Catholic (USA Today 2009 #14 Team)

Baltimore's Our Lady of Good Counsel (USA Today 2009 #15 Team)

12 of the Top 40 USA Today HS FB Teams are Catholic Schools.

N.B. If anyone wants to continue the level of competition at Catholic Schools take it to a new thread for further discussion this is a Recruit's Profile. Let's focus on him in this thread.

Prior to your lengthy post I believe it was all relevant to the recruits thread.

Stanford pulls coveted RB Remound Wright out of the Midwest

Per Bill Hodge's On The Trail

Three-star running back Remound Wright (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger) has committed to Stanford's nationally-rated Class of 2011, ESPN affiliate Web site SpartanTailgate.com reports
.

Betcha if we offer him, he flips.

Could be.

Stanford now has 4 RBs committed which Rivals lists as RBs # 12, 16, 18, and 36. Three of them including Wright have 4 stars, the other 3. Some of them could be slated for the Defensive Backfield. Wright is an All Conference DB. Of SU's 17 verbals only one is a DB, a 6-2 200 Safety from Bergen Catholic (On Crusaders!)

Three of the four SU RB verbals are from CA and each of them only has 2 or 3 offers. Wright has the best offer list by far of the bunch with offers from BC, IOW, MIN, UM, MSU, NW, and SU. On the other hand he camped at UF, ND, and OSU without getting an offer and pursed PSU without an offer.

Camped today and performed well. Hope to see an offer

He's Tony Springmann's classmate so you'd think that will have some effect down the road. At least we'll get on his radar

He's been on ND's radar and vice versa. This is his second year camping at ND, he was at the Southern Cal game last Fall, and he was invited and came to a Jr Day this year. That's at least 4 trips to South Bend. Wright's been working hard for an ND offer. However the interest hasn't been that strong going the other way if you read FWIrish's posts.

Perhaps Kelly and company will see something at this camp to induce an offer. With only 6-8 slots left I think his chances are slim at this point. That could change in his senior season.

Rivals has a story on him today. From what I have heard, he is tearing it up. Can anyone here summarize the story for us??

Wright really impressed them. Said he had the best feet and cutting ability at the camp. It seems like they were a bit higher on Wright than Carlisle. Wright is built like a tank for 190. They said both Wright and Carlisle offers would be very interesting, but Wright might be our best bet.

Thanks for the update. He weighs about 200 now from what I am told. At 5'9", he is brutally strong. I know he was squating 525 last year, and benching about 325. Exceptional hands as well. I think he would flip if we offered.

We have offers out to a lot of RBs

Offers
Malcolm Brown
Demetrius Hart
Aaron Green
Daniel Lasco

Interested w/ Offers:
Justice Hayes
Jameel Poteat
Savon Huggins

I imagine as one of these guys drops off, they will extend an offer to Wright or Carlisle. (speculating)

I know Carlisle is checking out USC, Alabama, California and Vanderbilt

I think it's ironic inasmuch as Carlisle's dad is S&C coach for the Forty-niners.

Is Rodney Coe out of the picture?

I just searched non-committed RB Offers for ND.

Coe is listed as an athlete.

Per Rivals

The Irish see Coe as a running back or linebacker, with that flexibility important because this prospect with nearly three dozen offers prefers a shot on offense before switching. Coe plays on both sides of the ball at Edwardsville and returns kickoffs. Even at 230 pounds, he ran one kick back nearly 90 yards as a junior, hurdling a defender on his way toward the end zone.

Confirmed with his father that he was at 201 when weighed in. Jr. didn't talk much when he got home and seemed reserved. Methinks heart is in South Bend and wanted to leave with an offer. Time will tell.

Remound was just named to the Rivals Nike Camp 1st team offense as the top running back out of all of the national combines. Quite an honor. Justice Hayes, whom he beat out for MVP at the Columbus camp, was also named to the 1st team.
Congrats to both of them!

i hope he gets his offer because he sounds like a great kid and he would not have a problem getting in. Type of player that would do good in this offense.

Good vid in post #4 of this thread if you have not seen him Polish.
It will be a tough time for him while he waits for this to play out. Great kid, loves the Irish!

Rivals forums and staff are really high on this kid, and they have been since that camp. Looks like a real player. Hopefully gets an offer soon

Being from Fort Wayne, I can tell you that kids from Bishop Dwenger are the "Right Kind of Guys" that Kelly is looking for. Goodman, Eifert and Springman all are from the same school and they are also well schooled and disciplined football players. I am sure that Wright is the same way.

I was an assistant coach at Bishop Luers High School(Fort Wayne,IN.) for 8 years and are Dwenger's arch-rival. They were always one of the most disciplined programs we faced every season. I am thrilled that the Irish have a pipeline there and hope that Wright gets the offer that he desires and deserves. I feel he is every bit the player any of the other Running Backs that have offers are. I actually like the thought of him in Kelly's offense better than the other offered Running backs. He will be damn near invisible behind our Offensive Line.
