2:30 can't get here soon enough. I am so excited to watch the US and England match. I think it will be a very good match to watch.

The first two games have been fun to watch. South Korea looks awfully good. Argentina and Nigeria have problems finishing. Messi should have had a hat trick and the score should have looked something like 7-3. Argentina could be scary good if they finished well.

I was thinking the same thing while I was watching that one. Messi is always a lot of fun to watch when he has the ball but I couldn't believe how many chances he couldn't capitalize on.

I hate Argentina, but my fantasy soccer team really could have benefited from Messi doing better lol.

I'm sure some of you watched USA vs. England. I think both sides played under their abilities. Timmy Howard was huuuuge today. Looks like goal differential will decide who advances first and second. I don't see these two teams losing to Slovenia or Algeria.

Timmy played a huge game. After taking a boot the the chest and sticking it out. I loved what I say from our boys tonight. Granted our goal was basically a gift. We needed to at least draw with the Brits to move on. I love what I saw from out guys tonight lets hope they keep it up cuz i want to see the US in the knock out stage.

I think we deserved every bit of that point today. The first 5 minutes were awful, like men against boys, but the goal seemed to wake us up and we started to see and control more of the ball throughout the half. The 2nd half started the same way, with the U.S. being every bit the equal of England. I think the last 20 minutes, England started to show their superiority, and they almost had a couple of goals, but like you guys said...Howard was a beast today. And Jozy was this close to stealing the victory after an amazing run which showed both his speed, and more impressively, his strength.
Yes, we got an ultra-lucky goal, but like I said, we played with England...we didn't put 10 men behind the ball and play kickball praying for a tie. We played some good soccer for long stretches. England definitely has a better quality of players, and would admittedly beat us 7 out of 10 times probably, but today, we were their equal.
And we have a much, much better goalie!!!

I think both teams should have scored at least one more. Had England won, I still think USA would have gotten out of the group stage. I really don't see much from Slovenia or Algeria. I'll let you know after their game tomorrow though.

hahaaha....I'd like to see Mexico advance so they can play USA later in the knock out rounds. Outside of winning the whole thing(a long shot), I'd like to see USA knock out Mexico for the 2nd time in WC play.
All the games except for one, have been really good. The only game I thought was bad was the denmark/netherlands game - Denmark looked like they didnt belong in the tournament, their defense just quit on some plays.
Germany looks really good, maybe great (lets see, its a young team)
Argentina is starting to roll too.(if they win, Maradona and Luciana Salazar announced they are both getting naked!)
(Luciana Salazar is worth google searching; Diego Maradona not)
Brazil is always dangerous (what happened to Ronaldihno?)
Spain are chokers, they were known as chokers even before they lost to switzerland. Before yesterday, Spain's record versus Switzerland was 15-0-3. Spain had won like 47 of the last 49 games (one loss was to the USA and the Confederations Cup) before dropping that game to Switzerland

Certainly during the Russian-Afghan war. Then they pulled away the crutch they'd become so dependent of. This created immense hatred, as the people realized they'd been used.
This certainly doesn't give them the right to form terror networks and camps for training people to kill the innoccent though.

I would have put this in the "FIFA" thread but that acronym deserves no place in this celebration. The officiating did their best to beat us today, just as they did against Slovenia.
