This team has played like shit today. they would have been better off not even showing up. maybe it is time to let Brey go. They are at average at the very best.

ouch

the last 5 minutes of the game was classic brey ball. stand around, pass around the perimeter, and jack up desperation 3's

Brey just called them great ambassadors and bragged that they will graduate on time.

How the hell does CBS carry the tournament with such a lame crew? That lady is annoying as hell.

So CBS skips live coverage to interview Duke about their game tomorrow. I guess this tournament is over for me.

Believe it or not, out of the 20 or so brackets I filled out....I had Notre Dame losing in every one of them. When was the last time we got past the first round people????? 25 years ago ring a bell? I honestly cant remember. Typical Notre Dame basketball. I think a different team should have got our spot but thats just me.

Wasn't it two years ago? Beat George Mason in the 1st round. We didn't deserve a 6 seed, probably a 7 or 8 but its not like we got a good draw. ODU's a solid team.

And ND lost. But at least they are ambassadors.

And before that, on March 14th 2002, the Irish defeated UNC-Charlotte. On March 16th, they moved on to play #1 Duke where they lost 84-77. 25 years?

didn't watch the game. ODU is a good ball club. I filled out two brackets in my other pool and had it split on who would win. Classic tourny upset though. low seeded mid major champ against middle of the road big conference school.

Brey's great at X's and O's -but this mediocre crap needs to end. ND needs somebody with a bulldog mentality. His players reflect his personality to much, way to easy going, christ it didn't even look like they cared at the end of the game yesterday. I said the same thing last year, a change needs to be made. Great example of just how much the other sports take a back seat at ND. If this was football we'd have been through 3 different coaches already.

My opinion, go out and get TOM IZZO!! Make him an offer he can't resist. Haha, I know, I know-everyone is going to tell me to keep dreaming and I will :) How bout the guy from Kansas St-Martin? Love that guy too, how intense-players reflect his personality. Love Buzz Williams from Marquette, maybe tough to get him from a fellow Big East school but still...How about going after a Mid Major guy who is on the rise?!

Some others I think are really good coaches:
Baylors Scott Drew (has a loaded recruiting class coming to Baylor next year)
Utah's Jim Boylen (Izzo disciple)
Oakland's Greg Kampe
Zag's Mark Few
St. Mary's Randy Bennett
Xavier Chris Mack

You can't tell me ND couldn't lure in a big fish flashing some $$$ and the prestige of turning ND basketball into a powerhouse. It would have to be someones dream job?!

I think Scott Drew is a great coach. But there is no chance Mark Few comes here. He turns down jobs every year. If he goes anywhere it will be Nike U. And I dont even see that happening.

Coaching ND basketball is NOT any top coach's dream job. Indiana, yes...ND, no. The coach will no that forever this will be a football school, and he will play second fiddle to football. Just the way it is. Few, Izzo, Mack, those guys are at schools where basketball is king. ND would be a great job for many coaches, but the top ones? Nope. The top ones leave schools like ND to go to basketball schools like NC, Kansas, Duke, etc. I'd love to get Drew, but not sure of his interest level. Kampe and Boylen are more realistic I'd imagine, but then again I don't see Brey getting fired for those guys...

The coach has to make it a dream job. I guess I have made it obvious that I am a UTEP fan. Tony Barbee (UTEP's coach) could provide the soul that ND needs. He is a former Memphis asst. when Memphis was kicking butt. He turned around UTEP, even though UTEP continues to get screwed by officiating.

Old Dominion is a great program? I thought ND was supposed to be pretty good. Why them and not ND?. OK mods. I promise. I'm calm now.

Fucking Irish. But at least they are great fucking ambassadors.

I'm calm. No kittens will be hurt.
