When Haven's perform this at The New Orleans Jazz Fest a few years ago (nearly 40 years on) tears were streaming down my face ... along with a Domer classmate and a "kid" we were with who was about five in 1969 and had never heard the song before. Thanks. I love "Touch of Gray." The irony of Garcia's singing "I will survive" is not lost on me. I could have been a skeletal roadie in the video.

Part of the impetus for my to jumping into this thread (after my unfortunate "hiatus") was TMQ10. I want to tap an artesian well into his aquifer of modern musical (and I'm not talkin' Broadway musical here) knowledge to quench my thirst and expand my horizons. I want him front and center – PRONTO, AHORA!

I have many more progressions to share ... if I get around to it.

I'm a big 60's and 70's fan, though I don't like that much music after the 80's. I play guitar and I'm a huge Jimi Hendrix fan. I also like Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Rolling Stones, etc.

I agree, I can't stand any of that top 40 crap that's out there nowadays. I do like some 80's stuff like Dire Straits, but I've never gotten that much into Hair Metal and such.
