Would be the best fit for this system in this class IMO, has a rocket arm and runs a 4.5 even tough he's listed as pro style qb. Smaller Jake Locker IMO

In late January he announced a Top 10 of Florida, Alabama, Clemson, FSU, Georgia, Miami, Mississippi St, UNC, OU, and VT (essentially ACC, SEC, and OU). He plans a Top 5 by May with a Top 3 in early summer. He will graduate in December to be an early enrollee.

Holds an offer from Michigan but they didn't make his cut.

His father was the chaplain for the Gators.

Wish we had a chance.. I'm liken this kid.

Not so fast my friend. He spoke with ISD and he said now that ND offered (plus a couple of other schools) he'll probably have to reconsider his top 10.

This kid is really smart, and really knows his college football. He knows more about Brian Kelly and his players and offense than any recruit by a million miles. I was really impressed with his interview. He's high on Kelly. Said he's 80% sure he'll visit ND either this spring or next football season. Hopefully he does come down so ND can have a legitimate shot...

In late-January, ESPN 150 Watch List quarterback Christian LeMay (Mint Hill, N.C./Butler) narrowed down his list of scholarship offers to 10 favorites.

Several scholarship offers later, the 6-foot-2, 187-pound LeMay says there could be some changes in order.

The lucky group LeMay originally listed was Florida, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Oklahoma, Miami, Mississippi State, Florida State, Virginia Tech and North Carolina. Offers have continued to roll in, with Notre Dame, Arizona State and Auburn the three most recent ones.

"All the schools are legit in my top-10, but with the new offers, I'm going to have to re-evaluate the 10 and make sure they're schools I want to go to," LeMay explained. "As of now, the top-10 are my final 10."

LeMay, who plans to enroll early into whatever school he decides, admits Notre Dame is a school that could definitely push its way into his list of favorites.

"They already helped themselves by extending an offer," LeMay said. "Also, when I'm evaluating them and looking at the pros and cons of the school and program, of course coach [Brian] Kelly hasn't coached at Notre Dame yet, but what he did at Cincinnati, he did tremendous work there and at Central Michigan too. All he's done is win games, and I don't see him doing something different."

LeMay himself has also gotten accustomed to winning.

As a junior, in leading Butler to a 15-0 record and a state championship, LeMay completed 170-of-248 passes for 3,396 yards and 44 touchdowns to just two interceptions. He also rushed for 577 yards and had a nice discussion with Kelly about his potential in a Notre Dame uniform.

"He said we'd love to have you, and you have an offer if you want it," LeMay recapped. He is arguably the top player at his position in the country. "I took everything in and he said he wants to make me into a first-round draft pick, and also develop me as a person which I can appreciate.

"I know coach Kelly is going to go there and do a great job. He did a decent job recruiting, getting there so late. He has good talent from when coach (Charlie) Weis was at the helm. Coach Weis always had top-10 recruiting classes, now he has to get those guys in his system and teach them what to do."

The Notre Dame coaching staff isn't the only one recruiting LeMay to South Bend. Junior cornerback Robert Blanton starred at Butler when LeMay was a freshman. The two keep in touch, and see each other every time Blanton is home from school.

"He's been telling me good stuff, and saying they want me there. We keep tabs on each other. Of course he sends me messages and stuff."

Watching LeMay play football today, Blanton would have a hard time recognizing the kid he remembers as a freshman. LeMay, who had a nice sophomore season, even looks like a completely different player from his 10th-grade year where he passed for 1,800 yards and 16 touchdowns.

"I think it was more so mentally," LeMay said of his growth. "I was watching my film from last year to this year, and it did look different. I looked more calm in the pocket and calling the plays. Last year, I was kind of out there, and I couldn't talk to anyone or I'd lose my train of thought. This year, I was talking, telling people what routes to run and holes to hit for a play to work. Also, the coaches just having faith in me to put the ball up in the air like we did, and the plays we called this year, the quarterback has to make the right decision or the play would blow up.

"And God giving me the ability to shine this year."

LeMay believes he could shine in Kelly's offense.

"I'm pretty excited to see Notre Dame is getting a quality coach. He's going to do great things and possibly I'll be a part of it. It's also exciting to see his offensive background. Tony Pike is going to get drafted, so that takes the stereotype away that you're not going to make it to the NFL from a spread offense. His offense is like the Indianapolis Colts, and he's obviously coaching up quarterbacks right and correctly."

LeMay has taken visits to Florida, Florida State, Wake Forest, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Clemson in the past. He'll return to Georgia later this month on the 27th. At some point, he hopes to make it up to Notre Dame for the first time.

"On a scale of 100, I'm 80 percent sure I'll be visiting Notre Dame, if not this spring then definitely by football season."

A quarterback that would fit the system perfectly could run the spread and Kelly teaches his quarterbacks to read defenses which is what the NFL wants. He is the perfect candidate.

His top 10 was before ND offered him. That why I made the comment about "I wish we had a chance"

Elite QB Christian LeMay finding common ground at Georgia | AJC College Sports Recruiting

3/1

Was at UGA for a Jr Day this weekend. Fourth time he's been to Athens.

LeMay brought his entire family on the trip, including his mother, father, sister and two brothers, both of whom are projected prospects. Uriah LeMay is rising-sophomore wide receiver and Benjamin is a freshman running back.
“I didn’t stay overnight. I wish I could have but I had to get back for church,” LeMay said. “I had my whole family there, so it’s always good to see how they feel about things. That’s always big. When a college gets my family there you know you’re doing pretty well.”

...

Georgia was already firmly entrenched in LeMay’s top 10, which he announced in early February (Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Miami, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech, Florida State, North Carolina). But he said that list is subject to change as new offers continue to come in every day. He’s up to 21 overall.
“It’s a flexible top 10,” said LeMay, who will be an early enrollee. “Everybody’s getting reevaluated right now. Auburn, Notre Dame, Arizona State and Texas A&M all offered in the past week. So now you have to include more people. You want to give everybody a fair shot. You don’t want to miss out on what could be a perfect fit for you.”

...

Georgia is a pro offense, which they know is what I’m looking for. Drop-back passes, a lot of play-action game, they show’d me exactly what I was looking for.

I did, a couple of weeks ago when he said it. Since then his current words in the March 1st intreview don't make that seem likely:

I know that he said some pretty good things about Georgia. However, Mark Richt's job is hardly secure at the moment. I think Georgia has a good shot, but Notre Dame does as well. Disregarding all other teams for the moment, if it were to come down to the two of us, I would definitely say it will hinge on the success of the teams this year and how the respective starting quarterbacks perform. If Dayne has a great year, and plays a style LeMay can see himself playing, we probably have a good shot.

It's hard to tell so far, but I get the feeling as well that this is going to be a kid who says good things about every school he visits - seems to have a good head on his shoulders. ... Hopefully he brings his whole family when he comes to visit ND as well, though. I have a feeling they will like it even more than UGa.

My favorite QB of this class so far. He can run but he is a pass first QB. Hopefully Blanton gets in his ear

Mentioned Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Auburn, Florida, Alabama and Miami when he was asked about his favorites during a recent interview with ESPNU Recruiting Insider. He did say earlier in the interview that he was still open to all suitors.

I am still taking in all offers and thinking about how I would fit in to their program

During a Spring Break tour last week he visited what I would consider his top three in Clemson, Georgia, and Auburn. All three schools are pitching the values and ethics that Lemay and his family want in a school.

At this point, I think it's between Georgia and Clemson due to their strict pro-style offenses and the level both schools staffs have connected with the Lemay family in regards to faith, family, and religion. I have Clemson out in front with UGA second and AU third. Florida is a team to watch if they decide to pursue again, but I personally think that ship has sailed.

Early Projection: Clemson

This blue-chipper's dad told scout that on April 30th he will announce his leader between Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Texas A&M. While he won't commit just yet, he said that in the end he most likely commit to his leader (he just wants to be sure).

I didn't even know we were in his to 10, much less his top 5. We still have very little chance here though. I think his dad threw us in here as an afterthought. All of the other schools have been mentioned in his recruiting the past few months...ND hasn't.

I'd feel more confident if he was making a choice AFTER ND played a couple of games.

ESPN is reporting that he is not just announcing his leader on April 30 now, but committing. He wants a chance to recruit for his school sooner rather than later. I don't see how we are the chosen hat here:

Christian LeMay announcing Friday, five schools left standing

Under Armour All-American quarterback Christian LeMay (Matthews, N.C./Butler) has cut his long list of suitors down to five, according to ESPN affiliate Web site InsideTheU.com.

"It is Clemson, Auburn, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Texas A&M," said his father, Stacy LeMay. "That's his top five schools and that's about as much as I can give you (in regards to any school being ahead)."

"I think he likes the coaching staff, the school environment, and the style of play that they have developed over the recent years. They all have the common thread of those things I mentioned which garnished his interest to consider being there for the next three to five years."

"I think now he's feeling good and we've done enough evaluation with the schools he's strongly interested in," Stacy LeMay said. "He would like to get on board with the school he's planning to attend and start encouraging other top recruits to attend with him. He wants to have enough time to do that as opposed to waiting later to see those recruits scatter all over the country. He will be announcing on Friday, April 30th."

Alabama, Florida, Florida State, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech, Arizona State, Miami-FL, Tennessee, West Virginia, Wake Forest, Illinois, Maryland, N.C. State and Michigan were also after the 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect.

I can spin a case either way for ND. ND's coaching staff has developed a style of play that they developed over the recent years - but they didn't do it - at ND. I would have expected him to be at the Blue & Gold game to check out Kelly's offense worked with the exisiting Irish personnel if ND was a serious player on that list. I hope I'm wrong.

Auburn has a second year staff so I don't see how that statement fits for them.

Dabo Swinney in entering his 3rd year. He fired his original OC and has made a number of coaching changes. I don't see that statement fitting here either. On the other hand, they been mesmerizing prospects with some silver tongued recruiting.

Mike Sherman's also entering his 3rd season and have struggled. I don't understand them making the short list.

Mark Richt's entering his 10th season at UGA and was SEC Coach of The Year in '02 and '05. He hired Mike Bobo as OC 3 years ago. UGA seems to me to best fit that description.
