Is he transferring or should he be a MI WR?

It's been corrected to MI, thank you.

The last two profiles created before Arnett's were both IL WRs. Apparently "muscle memory" overpowered the typing fingers. Apologies, if that's not a scientific sufficient response. I don't have a degree in strength and conditioning nor typing.

Yeah, tankjeep "got it" - two weeks ago.

mbeckha won't be advising we uneducated anymore thanks to our fearless leader.

BTW, I wasn't the one that typed it, nor the one who typed the other two WR profiles I referred to.

Oh, and as neuteredoomer reminds me frequently, it's "you're".

Back to DeAnthony.

Arnett Names Top 3 Of 8

Arnett Names Top 3 Of 8

2/9/10 Per Bill Hodge, ESPN, On The Trail:

My top three schools are USC, Notre Dame and Michigan State. Four-through-eight, not in any particular order - Oregon, Michigan, Tennessee, Cincinnati and Iowa.

I didn't mind running with USC when the Weiss administration was here, but now that Kelly & Co. are here I have to see what they can do. I am open minded as USC has a lot to prove bringing in Kiffin.

I don't think it is our change in coaching staff that will make it more difficult to recruit against USC, it was their change in coaching staff. As I think others feel the same way.

The difficulty is ND loses the relationships that Polian and Weis built up with HS coaches and underclassmen they were following. Dave Peloquin will have the info on file but he didn't go off campus to meet those people. The new coaching staff doesn't have the deep contacts in CA that they have in say a 300 mile radius from Cincinnati.

Building relationships in business (and recruiting) is like growing asparagus. The first year you plant sets but get no yield. The second year you continue to nuture without much harvest. The third year and thereafter the harvest is good if you fertilized and watered regularly.

I understand that, what I was saying is that with both schools bringing in new coaching staffs, I think this USC coaching staff will be harder to recruit against than the last one in recent years. This due to the people on the new USC staff and how good (legally or not) they have been at recruiting. Under the last regimes for each school we were pulling players from CA left and right. I think that it will be a bit more difficult now.

Not to mention controlling the dreaded asparagus beetles.

Southern Cal Takes Lead With Offer

Southern Cal Takes Lead With Offer

2/10 Per Bill Kurelic ESPN

Midwest recruiting Blog - ESPN

My basketball coach who is also our athletic director, Lou Dawkins, came and told me he just got off the phone with USC and they offered. The first thing I did was call coach (Ed) Orgeron. He said it was true.

That was a school I was waiting on. It gets no better than USC. I grew up watching all their great receivers. I've always liked USC.

ISD reported a couple of days ago that his leaders were: 1. SC, 2. ND, 3. MSU. Then he had other schools that rounded out his top 8, but SC and ND were clearly running 1 and 2. Unfortunately he really likes SC, fortunately they just signed 3 STUD wide receivers. He really likes the ND staff. We'll see where this goes. Here's a free article from yahoo where he talks about the schools:

Picked up an offer from Bama. They join USC, ND, and MSU atop his list.

It's really early in the recruiting cycle. Scout is the only one of the three recruiting services issuing stars at this point. Rivals and ESPN both have Arnett on their "Watch" Lists which is comprised by those recruits most likely to be rated at 4 Stars OR higher. Stars get changed up or down based on who offers, and how a prospect does at May Evaluation, combines, camps, and season stats. There's 11-1/2 months left in this recruiting cycle. The stars and rankings will change many times.
