Originally from NJ here. Don Bosco is a powerhouse for the Northeast.

I believe they beat De La Salle in 2008.

Notable alumni:

Ryan Grant
Mike Teel (Rutgers/Seahawks)
Justin Trattou (Florida)
Matt Simms (Louisville)
Brian Toal (UFL - Las Vegas)
Corey Wootton (Northwestern)

Best of luck to the kid if he ends up Irish, but this certianly raises one question for me.

Does this mean that there is trouble in paradise? (ie Hawaii's Kona)

No, it just means we're filling a position of need.

I wish I was a fly on the wall in Kelly's office. He obviously knows something, because if tomorrow every kid with a ND hat on his table actually picked it up. We wouldnt even have enough scholarships for them all. Something has to give.

Believe we have more space than you think as the 5 early enrollees go against last year do they not? We're just using up potential space for next year.

No we don't have much space. We only have room for 6 more with the 85 scholarship max limit.

It just disapoints me that we are still seeing offers go out to guys like Kittredge. I dont mean any disrespect to him, and would welcome him, it just seems like a clear sign on other recruits. On another note, I saw on another board that Brandon Walker may be done with football because of injury, thus freeing up another scholarship. Does anyone know if this is true?

I had heard the same about Walker. Anyway, has Kittredge been looking? I couldn't see a link about it.

This is strange Is kona really not deciding till after NSD. He isnt good enough to do that he should have a decision by now. But this kid sounds like he has a lot of potential

i'm sure Kelly can respect a kid wanting to see UW, but the time is now. the train is warmed up. Kittredge committing wouldn't be a bad thing imo with the reputation of Don Bosco.

It's not about being good enough, it's that he had his college plans pulled out from under him when BYU pulled his offer. Clearly, the kid needs a little time to think. Can't blame him a bit. He also may just be saying that he will wait until after so that the reporters possibly leave him alone a bit more...

I am actually an alumni from Don Bosco Prep (hence the Ironman name). Don't forget about Michael Ray Garvin (All-American Return Man for Florida St.). My family is friends with his family, they are all great people who obviously value education.

They beat De La Salle earlier this year as well as Prattville down in Alabama.

They finished the year #1 in the nation according to rivals, and have lost only one game in the past 4 years (to St. Xavier in Cincy)

Then you and I are officially enemies since I am an alumni of Delbarton

Was he offered or is this just a rumor?

BGI doesn't even list him with ND interest. His profiles on Scout, Rivals, and ESPN don't list an ND offer or interest either.

okay..... all the comradery is good and all but has this kid already signed his LOI to vandy? B/c if he has, i guess this rumor was all for nothing..... which probably explains why it was on ESPN's site first.

Rivals still just lists him as committed to Vandy. No LOI reported yet.
