I find it odd that he only benches 350, while Jeremy Ioane benches 325 and is at least 100 lbs lighter. Crazy. I would think with the blocking he would have a very high bench. I think I remember Tim Ruddy benching 500lbs or something....

A couple of sites were reporting that, but it looks like they were wrong. ND visited Tuesday apparently, and he still is visiting Miami. I think SC visited yesterday anyways. He says he still hasn't decided. I hope he chooses ND, but I'd say we're 3rd behind OSU and even, sadly, USC...

You do remember Ruddy benching 500 lbs. One of the few ND football players to do so. He was 22 years old, 4 years older than Henderson, and 4 years in a Division 1 Strength and Conditioning program. There was an article written in '97 on results the ND weight room I think Melvin Dansby was the only one that year that hit 500 and he was the first in several years. Mickey Marrioti commented that while the players use the bench press for bragging purposes he didn't find a correlation between and success on the football field. He thought there were other lifting techniques that might be more representative on of a players "strength on the field".

Henderson's 350 is quite good for HS OLs. BTW, is a his current bench or a number from 6 months or last years's combine number?

Ioane pound for pound is 325 for 188 pound body is impressive. Sam McGuffie weighed 188 and benched 355 as a HS Senior.

No I am a true ND fan i just think that he won't be coming to play for us. I hope he does but thats just my gut feeling.
