one of the last guys we really look to have a shot with, which i personally am very excited about. Toma and Manti showed great promise as freshman last season, their HS has shown it can produce talent. This kid is a very underrated prospect and i expect big things out of him.

If he keeps his speed and adds about 20 pounds, and doesnt suffer any injuries, he will be a player to be reckoned with by opposing offenses. Throws his body in there and hits like a truck. Got to love players that love that contact.

WHOA easy Dirty easy!!!!!!! In my opinion Jeremy is a 99% lock to ND... BUT just in case i will drop off my RUDY Blue Ray at his house.....

Thank God Tom Lemming, Manti, Robby, Coach Ane planted the seed in Brian Kelly's ear about this kid....

Hawaiian Irish is already looking for 2011 prospects. There is a 6-4 310 pound sophmore who got my eye. 2nd team all state, son of a former NFL player...............

You're referring to Bern Brostek's kid? I think he's more athletic than his dad, who was a beast. UW would be the logical choice since his dad was an All America center there. ND may have a chance given the local connections.

yep, this kid is irish...i think he just wants to visit to announce

Not so fast my friend. He REALLY enjoyed his trip to UW, and he almost committed on the spot. I like our chances too, but in recruiting, you never know. Just cause Te'o and Toma did it, doesn't mean every Hawaiian is going to embrace the snow and cold of South Bend. There is also another Hawaiian who committed to UW last week, so he's got a fellow Hawaiian there too.

But he was very excited to get the ND offer, and he was visiting ND with or without the offer in hand. SO things look good. Hopefully we'll get him...

Jeremy, Kona and the rest of the recruits should be arriving soon. May they all see what a great honor it is to attend and play football at Notre Dame

The next Taylor Mays

Ioane's 4 inches shorter, 40 pounds lighter, and a tenth or more slower.

He's a hitter not a thug.

I'd be happy with the next Jeff Burris, an Irish All-American with a similar build.

With the highlight reel of hits he reminds me of Taylor Mays, as well he looks to be very strong.

Also I think you mispoke, according to Rivals when Taylor was in HS he ran a 4.59, Ioane is said to have run a 4.5, I think you meant a tenth faster.

Jeremy "Search & Destroy" Ioane should be his handle. Athletic, great timing and seems to want the ball more than anyone else on the field. I was waiting for the shoes to fly off every kid he hit. Reminds me of Darius Walker in a sense. Every time Walker got the ball, it felt like he was taking it all the way each time. Ioane makes you watch him waiting for the explosion that is about to happen.

Washington scares me

yea sarkisan learned from the school of "promise the world" recruiting. other wise known as pete carrol's "guide to selling used cars"! this is what happens when you go .500 back to back years, washington (0-12,5-7) season start competeing for the same recruits.

I am very confident Jeremy will sign his LOI to attend and play ball at the Univeristy of Notre Dame.

I know he was very tempted to commit to UW during his visit but he waited to see ND and to see if they would offer him a Scholie.

As the world is evolving, it seems most successful recruiters use the "promise the world" tactics.

Carroll, Kiffin, Meyer, now Sarkisian all do the offering. I wondering if Harbaugh does too?

Either way, is the college football world really evolving into lies and non-sense?

Lastly, do these recruits really think these lies sound like truth? Truth really does have a ring to it.

I was wondering how close is measurables are to the steelers safety Troy P. ( i am not even going to try to spell it) since some on this page compared him to taylor mays i was wondering how close he is to Troy.

Troy Polamalu is a much better body type comparison to Ioane than Taylor Mays. Polamalu was "listed" on the 1999 Southern Cal roster (his freshman year) at 5-10, 200. Considering roster inflation and a year earlier as a high school senior, Iaone's reported 5-11 190 frame is comparable. Polamalu like Mayes was reported with sub 4.5 40.s. Ioane may hit as hard as they did like I don't think he as he extraordinary quickness that they possessed. Maybe as he develops in college he'll get there. We'll see.

I don't know if it's been covered, but how exactly do you pronounce his last name?

the UW board seems to think he is their's... i hope not

Well he almost committed there on his visit. They have reason to be hopeful. So do we. He's coming to South Bend despite his great visit to Seattle. He could have closed the door but didn't.
