I am very glad he is gone and I think we have a possibility of flipping Prater and with Prater comes Cooper!
WOO HOOO!
Bye Bye Poodle!
The Seahawks have contacted San Diego defensive coordinator Ron Rivera about possibly interviewing this weekend, a league source told ESPN Insider Adam Schefter. Rivera would also satisfy the Rooney Rule requirements.
Dammn it L.A.! Get in touch with your boy in the Athletic Department!
The only person Pete Carroll is trying to persuade to join him in rainy seattle is that pretty little grad student in Malibu...
This is a honest and accurate post, we all knew this was how it would go, he was going to do this sometime down the road when the $#@^ hits the fan. He can go now and save face. Would have like to have given him a few losses as a going away present. If Carrol leaves now it will confirm everything I have always thought about him....cheating-got caught, talent was young-lost some games, going got tough-he peaces out=he's a pu@#y.
So you've had a bad day... taken one down... sing a sad song just to turn it around.
--Matt Barkely, in his dorm room, weeping into one of Carrol's old shirts, lights off, looping this song and Dashboard.
Was Matt Barkley the "hot co-ed" who went with Carroll to Malibu?
Pete Carroll has reached agreement with the Seahawks on a deal to be their next head coach, multiple NFL sources confirmed early Saturday morning.
Carroll was fully expected to be introduced by the Seahawks as early as Monday, assuming they comply with the Rooney Rule this weekend.
....
But the bottom line is, Carroll's agreement with Seattle is "100 percent done," one NFL source close to the situation said.
Although the Seahawks and Carroll are close to a deal, which is believed to be a five-year contract to become president and head coach at $7 million a year, nothing has been signed, said sources close to the situation who are not authorized to speak on his behalf.
I'm so happy. It is easier to say that now that I'm sober...
While I do agree with you guys wanting to beat him and beat SC at their best, I will say that I could give a rat's ass if they say that we only won b/c Carroll was gone. Boo friggin hoo. You know how many times they beat Holtz??? ZERO. Do we sit around saying that they only beat us because we don't have Holtz? Nope, they just rub it in our faces that we can't beat them, and we always have to wait until next year.
Well, I want to be able to do the same damn thing to them, like we did in the glory years. And after we beat their asses next year, and they say that we couldn't beat Carroll, I'll laugh and jump right back at them and say that they couldn't beat Holtz, and they sure as hell can't beat Kelly. Uck SC with a capital F...
I think it is dumb they can't officially announce this til they interview a minority! If I were a minority, this would piss me off.
It's not like they interviewed a bunch of candidates and they all happened to be white. They talked to Pete, he said he wanted the job, so they fired Mora to hire him.
The Rooney rule is a bunch of crap!
The Rooney rule has done wonders for minorities. Many have gotten jobs who probably wouldn't have been interviewed otherwise.
This situation, however, makes it seem silly...like the Lions search a couple of years ago. They have a guy clearly targeted. It seems to be a token interview. That's too bad.
That said, I think I still like the rule.
