I think the key to not being banned is remaining slightly sumbissive. If asked to go to PM's, do it. You just have to hope this is spread about fairly, regardless of who's who.

lol. TMQ10 is The Mighty Quinn 10, a poster on here who started the NeuteredDoomer thread. Never met my boss. Just having some fun folks. I think JefMaj and dshans were doing the same. But they aren't as cute as me. I'm so cute that I am badass.

Johnny, This is not directed at you, but the entire community. I just kind of picked your post to address everyone. Sorry. :)

It has nothing to do with being slightly submissive to get by here fellas. Posters have guidelines which must be met in order to continue to post here. They are the exact same guidelines that we as mods have to live by every day. This certainly isn't an "US" vs. "YOU" situation where the mods are out to "BAN" the good posters here....although, there are a few posters here who like to turn it into something like that. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Good posting makes for a happy community. Breaking rules, foul language and fighting do not. Now, are there going to be the occasional disagreements on hot button topics....yes!!! And there should. That is the idea behind internet message boards. However, when folks cross that line, even after numerous warnings, there are going to be consequences.

Now, do we as mods make mistakes? Of course. Speaking only for myself, I've apologized to 3 different posters just in the past two weeks for something I've said or how I've said it. Sometimes a little humility can go a long ways instead of getting into internet pissing matches all the time

Now, the poster in question which everyone is pining for to come back falls into the "cross the line, even after numerous warnings" category. While I was not the mod who canned this individual, I support his decision 100%. It has to stop sometime, no???

Well said. The poster in question was warned several times by a mod, even receiving a quick suspension for a few days just to understand that what he was doing was against the rules. I wasn't here when he was banned this morning, but I know that he was given a warning to stop and chose not to.

As for dshans, if you had seen the posts he was banned for, and seen his responses to the several warnings he was given, then you'd see the mod's point for the temporary banning (he'll be back in about 50 days I believe). I mean, he was warned and still went off, and then basically dared us to ban him. His wish was granted.

You don't have to be subordinate, just don't be an asshole towards other members. Believe us, it's not fun being 'the bad guy' and banning members while other members who might not be aware of the real situation complain as if we're being power hungry. Far from the truth guys. But I think all the mods love this site and want it to do well. Before Jpham took over, there were no mods, the site was going down and trolls and spam were allowed to run amok. The site did a complete 180 thanks to the phammer, those mods (myself not included), and the posters who add so much to the site.

For those who think we are too strict, I'm OK with that, and I can give you a long list of ND sites that you might find more your liking. You can shoot me a PM or I can post them here. Peace...

I would poop. I'm currently watching the 1980 Sugar Bowl (Ark. vs. Bama). Holtz looks funny with orange hair. Can't wait to remember who won.

No need for the mods to apologize. I didn't know what a "mod" was when I signed up, but posters like NDinLA, HCTI, LMI, SoCalDomer, JPham definitely made this site worth it. Then BigIF exploded onto the scene. One stop shopping. I guess when you visit someone's house, you should respect the house rules. Hopefully the house has some flexibility. I know this house has been flexible with me.

Geez. As soon as I typed the previous, ESPN Classic announces the start of the '81ND vs. Georgia kickoff. Guess my next 3 hours are set. Blair Kiel is QB. Tony Hunter just missed a pass. Phil Carter is TB.


Spoiler and heartache alert: Georgia won 17-10.


Hershal Walker is TB for Georgia. ND wearing white jerseys with green numbers and names on back. Pants look yellow. ND looks like they are in shape. I can't take this anymore. I should not be cussing and getting worked up over a game that was played 28 years ago. And I know the result. Think I'll go to church. Or watch a movie.
