I do agree w the sentiment completely. We do have to close the deal, but at least we are in the game and dealing aces!

The key to maintaining a higher level of defense is constantly recruiting talented players like Barrett to increase competition in practice and force constant improvement up and down the depth chart. Also, it helps to have defensive coaches who do their homework and scheme properly to get their players in a position to succeed.

BD- thats why i am glad of the D coaching changes for the season. I like Tanuta and CB working together- new blitz packages, coverage still strong. Just all depends on the line play - can they step up or not.

Good call BD, the more taltented players we pick up, the higher level of competition that will ensue in practice in spring and in training camp. The younger guys coming in who will be hungry to prove themselves will only serve the older guys more when the season comes because the young guys will come in and try to prove that they belong and want playing time. I seriously doubt they care about experiance and who's ahead of them on the depth chart, hell, if it were me, and I knew how good I can be, I'd not worry who's ahead of me, I'd try my damndest to knock whoever is ahead of me out of his starting spot. I would llove to land Barret, the kid looks like a monster already, just imagine what he'll look like in a few years.
