I agree on both counts, pessimist and OSU.

lol. Do you think theres a SMALL chance he ends up at Minnesota though? God we really need this kid. I'm still holding on to a tiny chance.

small chance

Yeah, I'm hoping he signs with Minnesota. I would much rather him go there than the Buckeyes.
But I guess if it helps Ohio State beat Michigans ass every year than go ahead and sign with Ohio State. lol

I think he wants a chance to win a NC and live in a city. Minnesota meets one objective.

Changes at Florida impact top Midwestern recruits - ESPN
12/28

Bill Kurelic doesn't think Meyer's resignation turned indefinate leave of absence helped UF's recruiting in the midwest.

Sean Henderson, the father of Seantrel Henderson the country's No. 1 offensive tackle and the No. 4 overall prospect on the ESPNU 150, was anything but thrilled to hear about Meyer's decision on Saturday. The subsequent announcement on Sunday didn't really change anything. "My personal opinion is that [Meyer] is in the process of a transitional move," Sean said. "I believe we are talking about closing a chapter of a dynasty with [Tim] Tebow leaving. As far as Seantrel is concerned, we have to look at it like there is a big chance [Meyer] is not going to be [at Florida]."

At least some recruits are being smart about it. Henderson seems to have a good head on his shoulders, i think he will make the right move for him and his future.

I would also think it obvious to see the Meyer "leave of absence" is a recruiting move, one of many the recruiting mastermind has made in his tenure at Florida.

Browning coming to ND as OL coach should have more impact that the Meyer Saga. Nix committing to ND without a head coach or a DL coach was an exception. Most players aren't going to pull the trigger with so much in doubt. With Browning on board Henderson will be in a position to evaluate who the coaches are that will help shape his future.

Browning was at Minnesota and should have targeted Henderson as an underclassmen. He also should have a relationship with his high school coach. As a GA at Tennessee Browning was permitted to make phone calls to recruits, a call from ND shouldn't be his first.

Your right on that count. Browning was one name being thrown out on the staff that i was really excited about once i looked into him a little more. Im sure many recruits like henderson feel at least a little of the same.

I thought i heard something about him coaching on the inside though? OG and Centers? Do you think that will impact hendersons decision if he is still seriously considering us?

The media speculation has been that Denbrock would coach TEs and OTs and Browning would handle OGs and Cs. If you look at the background of Kelly's likely staff there is a lot of resume redundancy between coaches that's something that Kelly will have to clarify. Perhaps Browning handles full OLine while Denbrock handles TEs and STs as Elston appears to overloaded if he's got DL/ST and RC.

Really wonder what him and his parents think about the warinner hire......

I dont think anyone else has posted this, i seen a quote from it but not a link. Article from Gopherhole.com interviewing his parents. His dad seems really high on USC according to the interview. Also a link to an interview with Seantrel with pros and cons of each school he has visited at the bottom.

Link below to his parents interview.

As a quick aside, these recruits do know that they are an hour from Chicago? And for the weekends when you can't get to the Windy City, there's always The Torch, Michiana's hottest nightclub!

It's a little more than an hour to Chicago from South Bend, but they could go to Valparaiso and hit Jackson's bar. Hang with all the townies!!! There is also lovely and scenic downtown Gary!!!

Army practice: OL vs. DL West - Rivals.com Video

Seantrel henderson gets absolutely murdered for being the top prospect in the country by owamagze or whatever his name is, then later jake matthews dominated owa. I mean i know seantrel is good but ive never seen a guy 68 330 get pused right over by 63 230, and he is the top prospect and he got owned. I know everyone cant always win them but he just gets shoved, maybe im a little bit overreacting, but i thought it was pretty impressive on the d ends part

Denbrock promise this kid you'll name your first grandchild after him!!!

IrishAlum1997, I believe the happening spot these days for the ND kids in South Bend/Mishawaka is Club Fever. I definitely got sick when I was in there.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been waiting to hear Floyd get more involved and I am glad he is. Isn't Trevor Laws an alum of Cretin-Denham? Wait, that would be an illegal phone call, but I am getting desperate and saying things I don't mean. Joe Mauer call Seantrel and tell him you wish you had played football at ND instead of becoming the AL MVP with the Twins!

Mauer still has a lifetime scholly to go play QB at Florida State... at least he did until Bowden got the heave-ho.

I know that, but everyone in Minnesota refers to Mauer as if he's a relative. I'm just saying he should do a solid to ND and said he always wanted to play there. If Seantrel, wears the cardinal and gold, I might just kill myself
