I'm not surprised. Good recruiter BAD coach. I'm glad he's not gonna be back to tell you the truth. I hope Tenuta is next.

I'm happy he is gone. Terrible coach, I never understood why some people even mentioned him as a head coach possibility. I wanted him gone after the Navy game. Embarrassing to say the least.

We wont have to worry about Tenuta. He only signed a 2 year contract. He wont be back.

I may be in the minority here, but I'm sorry to see Corwin go. I don't think he's head coaching material at this point in his career, but I hardly think he's a terrible coach.

He's a coach that was forced to change his philosophy with the DB's. He liked to have his guys play in-your-face man coverage with bigger, physical receivers. In Tenuta's blitz happy scheme, the DB's were playing soft to not get beat by the big play and only allow the short passed. I just think the Tenuta/Brown relationship was a disaster and was Weis's biggest mistake.

What has he done for you to think my logic is garbage? Since you obviously want him to stay.....Please tell me besides recruiting decent, what has he proven to you?

I do think Corwin would have done a nice job had Charlie not brought in Tenuta, they were not a good combo.....good luck to him.

Reread 49er post. Reread what fitz has said. I'm not going repeat what has already been stated. You dawg Weis and his staff, more than likely you did the same to willingham staff and I guarantee you did the same to Davie & co...

All they say is what could have been. Well he didnt show me anything and if your happy with defenses that were piss poor then thats your problem. The guy NEVER proved ANYTHING! NOTHING! And again.......Were YOU happy with any of the previos staff? Cuz if you were than I REALLY feel bad for you.

Yeah, I like Corwin, but I think it's time to try a new DC too. I will say he was better than Rick Minter.

We need the defensive coaches soon if we want to keep Hurd and Moore, but for the long run I think it was the correct choice.

Who says Brain Kelly staff will be better? From what it looks like he's going try to bring in the Cincy defensive staff which was piss poor staff too. Cincy defense got worst under his defensive staff and that's been proven already been discuss. Please spare me the lack of talent excuse if it's all about development than they shouldn't drop off that much year after year.

Absolutely agree with this statement. Cincy's D has gotten worse since Dantonio left. As for CB leaving, I'm disappointed. If you look at when he was the DC, the db's played outstanding man coverage, under Tenuta, they really regressed in their coverage skills, please don't blame CB for Tenuta's incompetance.

THEY REPLACED 10 STARTERS AND STILL HAD A BETTER DEFENSE THAN CORWIN BROWN. How can you even argue with that?

You all shouldn't really care about this. Your defense was awful this year. Offense wasn't the problem. This guy got Weis fired.

Because CB wasn't the dc, Tenuta was. And by the way, Cincy's d actually has gotten worse under Kelly, with or without replacing 10 starters in a given year. Over the last 3 seasons, they regressed.

Okay. I give you that. They may have regressed but they still ended up being BETTER than Notre Dame. GOD people.

I liked CB. Firey guy, and can see a HC job at some point in his career. I wish he could have been kept but what is done is done. I wish him the best and will continue to root for him as long as its not at Michigan.

And again, CB wasn't the dc, Tenuta was. When CB was the dc and in charge of coaching the db's, the db's were in your face, and were never far from the ball, ever. When Tenuta took over, all that changed and they couldn't cover a fucking beach ball rolling down the field. Not CB's fault.
