For my money NDs had 3 of the top 10 receivers in the past 5 years of college football. But if you were fielding a team for next year and could only take one (and imagine a junior/senior year version of Samardzija, for the sake of discussion) who would you take?

Tate's the easy choice now, as he's coming off an all-timer of a season and was absolutely electric.

But I always thought Samardzija was clutch, and his extra length helped a lot in the red zone. Plus, how awesome was that play against UCLA when he jumped into the end zone for the win after picking up about 30 yards after the catch with almost no time left.

And finally, I think Floyd is still raw, but he combines the best aspects of both of the other guys. And that TD catch against Stanford was unreal, showed great body control and ability to use his size.

If Floyd stays healthy he has the ability to be literally the greatest ND receiver ever imo

Shark and Tate are deserved legends, but if I had one play where my life depended on completing a pass... I'm throwing it to a healthy Mike Floyd.... hope he comes back strong next year... wasn't QUITE himself after he came back

It is a little tough to compare a Junior/Senior Shark to a Frosh/Soph Floyd. I would still have to put my money on Shark. His hands were incredible, he was deceptively fast, very elusive, good leaping ability, and all day tough. It would only be a choice by a very narrow margin, but I think Shark is a better all around receiver. That may change once I see Floyd's junior and (hopefully) senior years, but right now, I would have to go with Shark on my team.

Calvin Johnson
Michael Crabtree
Golden Tate
Kenny McKinley
Dez Bryant
Percy Harvin
Desean Jackson
Dwayne Jarrett
Mike Haas
Jeremy Maclin

Shark would be at #11.

Floyd has the potential.

Mike Haas owns several records, you can't even argue that one. If he played here we would honor him as a legend.

McKinley was pretty damn good, maybe Im putting too much stock into him.

Shark would still be at #11.

I meant to click Tate, but hit Floyd. (long day) As great as Floyd is, and can be, I just can't see him having a season like Tate this year, unless Clausen is back. Floyd will be a better NFL receiver.

Shaq Evans, no contest.

His 4 catch, 33 yard performance against Washington was the most dominant and electrifying 4 catch, 33 yard performance I have ever seen. EVER.

The South Carolina legend.

They retired his number a little while back, I may be biased having lived in South Carolina for several years. But hes one of the most complete WR's I've ever seen, no flaws at all.

wasnt even drafted til the 5th round. i think he has a better future as a kick returner. he'll never be a #1 receiver. not on the Broncos anyway.

dez bryant = WAY overrated. hes good, but hes not in the top 10 in the last five years. the shark definitely is. haas is out and maclin is questionable.

you have to consider the defenses that some of these guys played against. tate and samardzija still put up the same performances against great defenses. many of those other guys certainly did not.

and what they have done in the nfl cannot account for any part of the vote. two completely different levels of development.

have you watched benn lately?

and brandon la fell has some serious problems with stone hands. he may have the physical attributes but you cant deny he has dropped a LOT of passes in his day.

Dez bryant could be top 10 but i personally don't think he is he never really had a great play that i could think of that crabtree or samardzija had.........Mike haas good college receiver completely nothing in the nfl still would rather have tate floyd or samardzija than him...... and then mckinley i maybe heard of him once hes definately not close to tate or samardzija floyds not there yet.... Jarrett was good but i think hes kinda overrated

I take Tate because he can do far more than Floyd or Shark. I am pretty sure Shark or Floyd haven't ran for or returned a TD like Golden did.

And although Shark's yards after the catch in the win against UCLA are legendary, Tate had those type of plays every game. For his size, he was freakishly strong and never went down on the first tackle. That catch against Washington State will go down as one of the best catches I have ever seen. His combine scores are going to be ridiculous.

I voted for Tate, but I would honestly rather have Samardzija or Floyd, in the Red Zone.

Dez Bryant is mor potential than production and his time was cut short because of a stupid NCAA ruling (yet Blount xcan get in a fight and come back)
I think McKinley is a personal favorite of yours
Haas? sorry but no
Dwayne Jarret was a 2nd rate Mike Williams

Samardzija is definitely in the top 10. i would put AJ Green up there as well

I would hardly call suspending a kid for lying to NCAA investigators stupid. If they didn't, then what precedent would that set?
