I think you are going to see a pissed off Irish team on Saturday night. Pitt better be ready for an absolute dog fight. I just sense a team full of guys that really know they let one get away with Navy and it will not happen again.

This team did not get outplayed by Navy, they outplayed themselves. Our O moved at will. They had three HUGE turnovers and one floundered opportunity, first and goal. Our special teams missed two FG's. Our D gave up one long drive TD. The other two scores were, one only about 35 yards after the Parris fumble and the other was a screwed up coverage by Blanton.

I do not think the team views this game as, "oh my, we are not even as good as Navy". It is more, "crap, we blew that one, but we know how to play much better".

Shit, I've been waiting for a pissed off Irish team for the last 15 f*@king years, I don't see it happening this year. Some kids on the defensive side of the ball just don't have a f*&king clue, and it's getting painful to watch at times.

With the exception of the blown coverage on the pass to a receiver Blanton dropped off of because he though the receiver was illegal so he dropped in run coverage, Navy had no scores and could sustain no drives in the second half.

Better than half (79 yds) of Navy's 2nd half rushing yds came on 3 plays.

It does look bad..the media is always trying to find things bad about ND (they are that's a fact) and Brown gave them a ton of ammo.

Knock it off...just shut up and win.

I like Corwin defending Blanton and calling out the cheap shot. I hope he would have done that even if we had won. I don't like Corwin complaining about the Navy coach saying our game plan wasn't great. That just sounds like whining.

It was actually nice to see somebody from that team grow a pair & call it like it was rather than spare feelings just because it's NAVY. I admire Corwins passion & that kind of fiery mentality is exactly what this team needs.

As a person who grew up around the military (my father served for 20 years & my mother for 10), I have nothing but respect for the Armed Services & our Service men & women but this is a game people. NAVY makes a choice on how the want to play it & they choose to play it (at least against us) dirty. They take advantage of our "respect" for them & use it to their advantage to win.

Respect them before the game, respect them after the game but when they're on the field kick their asses. I'm sick of hearing people say "Oh we're Notre Dame & we're above that" To hell you say. This is football not a play-date & fierce, aggressive, hard nosed football players win football games not complacent nice guys who wanna be your friend. I'm not saying gouge eyeballs & take cheap shots but make them pay for even showing up. After the game shake their hand & let them know you appreciate them.

NBC Sports - College Football - Inside the Irish

For those of you who don't remember how malicious that hit on Blanton was, take a look at the video from NBC sports. The hit was nowhere near the play and was as the play was ending. The guy also came at Blanton from behind and went straight for the knee. This is the kind of BS play that can ruin a player's career.

Yes, a penalty was called on the play, but only a 5 yard clipping penalty. At the very least it should've been an unsportsmanlike conduct flag and 15 yards - and I think the player should've been ejected. Dirty, dirty play.

You don't see Weis saying that the Wash St or the BC coaches didn't gameplan well. Unless you're Kiffin/Meyer, you shouldn't be talking smack about the other team's coaching.
