I was 9 years old and watch ND beat BC and Flutie in the 1983 Liberty Bowl.

Was also at the 1989 Navy, 1990 MIA, 1991 TENN, 1992 Sugar Bowl, 1996 OSU, 1999 TENN, 2002 MICH, 2007 Sugar Bowl...all games that I had to travel AT least 7 hours to get to and if you include the 2007 Sugar Bowl, I traveled all the way from CHINA to see ND get crushed.

I have been to almost every home game since I grew up and got a real job. That was 1994. Sporadic games before that. And I even include travelling to Ann Arbor and East Lansing since both of those are about an hour away from me. I have yet to go to a bowl game however, and I am saving that up for a NC game.

Last year vs. Syracuse! Love the campus and the stadium, hated the game! Still pissed they lost that game last year!

Going this year to the Pitt game!!!

1994 against Air Force was my first game
Have seen them play Pitt at home in '96, against MD in the Kickoff Classic in 2002 and against Navy in 2006.

Saw them play Purdue in 1989 40-7 beatdown, traveled up there w/ famous K.C. restaurant Strouds and we did a tailgate for the players after the game, got to meet and get autographs from a lot of players...Rick Mirer, Zorich, The Brown twins, sadly Rocket didn't come out, and neither did Bettis he was a freshman...turned out being my favorite player all time.

only been to one game....2007, at the Rose Bowl against UCLA. They came into the game 0-5, and beat UCLA 20-6.

My avatar pic is from that 07 game as well.

Can't remember the year, late 80's, they played Tennessee, had a huge lead at half time, ended up losing, heartbreaking...took my son for his first "real" game this year against Washington, awesome memory for me! he loved it, took him then to the BC game.

I go to Stanford every other year when the Irish come to town. Seen some exciting games! Lost my voice a few years ago when Quinn and company had to fight for the win. Went to the SC game last year...got to cheer at the end of the 3rd quarter. Hopefully this Stanford game will get us into the BCS. GO IRISH!!!

Went to the West Virginia game when I was 10 years old, was a good win. Then to the 2006 Blue & Gold game with BQ as a senior, got to sit right behind Bettis's Gold Team, da Bus was only 10 ft way, great stuff. JC was only a "HOPE" highly recruited QB on the sidelines at that time, but I still looked at him with great expectations. Now I finally get to go back for a game against UConn this year. Can't wait.

1st game was in 1996 I was 6 years old they lost, Airforce kicked a field goal to win it. I have pretty much been to 2 games a year since then home and away but probably won't get to see one in person again for atleast 2 years. Busy college schedule

That was 1991. I was there. My best friend's older brother played for the Vols and so my parents and I had to suffer through a 13 hour road trip--my friend's father drove SLOWLY. What was worse was getting back to their home and having my friend and his younger brother tossing the FB around the yard. Of course, losing the 10 bet I had with another classmate made me forswear gambling so that was probably a good thing.

"The Miracle in South Bend" as it was called ended basically at the half when Hentrich got hurt attempting a late FG, had it blocked for a TD and got hurt in the process. That was a bad weekend, made only worse by the fact that my friend's brother (who went on to an undistinguished career as a punter for the Eagles when Watters was there) kept the grass in can by his bed and I was MADE to watch the videotape the UT Athletic department had conducted to commemorate the comeback.

I don't think that ND's pass defense has ever been the same since, honestly. Still, those Vols games were something else in 1990 and 1991. If not for the weather, I would have seen Rocket score in Neyland stadium and ND win, but since it rained and I had a HS playoff game canceled that year, I had to go to it instead and watched the game on TV. I would have loved it, seeing Rocket, Rickey and Mirer take it to the Vols...even though I am from Tennessee myself.

November 6th 2004 at Tennessee. Took out Eric Ainge. Then Rick Clausen got Drilled by Derek Landri and Mike Goolsby intercepted it and took it to the HOUSE !!

november 13, 2004 vs. pitt and palko just destroyed our defense on his own and dropped the f-bomb on national tv after beating us 41-38.

my 2nd game vs. michigan on '06. this was a bad game, a real thrashing by the wolverines.

beautiful campus, etc. something to behold....all of it.

1999 Jarious Jackson Era

Carson Palmers Freshman year. Score was 24-3 after three quarters and I sat there wondering why I flew from LA to see this. Then the rain came and so did one of the biggest 4th quarter comebacks in ND/USC history. I lost my voice and it was one of the best days of my life. Looking for a DVD copy of the game. BEen to a bunch of games at the LA coliseum but it's not the same. Going to go back to see a game next year with my kids to the can experience the magic. Considering buying a second home near ND for September through December.
