Rankings: Where are we now?

With up to 5 team ahead of us losing in the top 25 where do we land? Does anyone jump us this week from behind. If we wind up 20-21 can we move 2-3 spots a week to get inside the top 14? Alot of surpising last minute losses not helping of SOS this week. I think JC and GT are helping keep us in the spotlight each week.

We go to number 20 in the standings, a blowout of a top 10 Pitt is what we need to get into the top 14 or above and be a serious BCS contender.

Because of the loses by South Carolina and West Virgina we should move to 21st at least in the BCS (which is all that matters) and hopefully we can jump Arizona for 20th because they were idle. If Utah had lost it would have given us more room to jump, and it hurt us when Miami and Houston barely escaped. A USC win would have been huge for us, instead the beneficiary of that game is really Boise who I would like to see ruin the BCS system

It looks like OSU has another loss in their future if not 2, as does Ok, Ok St., AZ, Ut, LSU(2), Cin (2), Miami and Houston like iffy. That makes anywhere from another 6-7 slots to move up IF we win out. That puts us at 14 or maybe a little better and in the BCS. Lou needs to keep quoting that ND was 2 plays away from undefeated and would hve been if Floyd were healthy. Go Lou, this will piss off Mark May. We have to beat Pitt badly.

I just checked the BCS standings. Wow. They've got to be kidding me. The Top 12 in the standings all deserve to be ahead of Notre Dame. But give me a break. Wisconsin, Ohio State....the Big Ten is lousy, lousy. There is no way those two should be that high. How about Houston? With one loss Houston shouldn't be in the Top 25 of any rankings. Arizona, Oklahoma State and Cal?

Look, I'm fully aware of ND's short comings but I'd love to see the Irish play any of the afore mentioned teams. ND would pound any of those chumps.

But this gets back to what I've been saying for the last few weeks: the Michigan loss was damning. Worst part about that loss was that we all knew Michigan would be near .500 when it was all said and done.

Still, Notre Dame is much better than teams 21-14. The Pitt game is going to be huge.

seems like everyone blows their load when they play us and just take a s%&^ the rest of the season, Nevada is a nice surprise though.
