I think UW is coached well and they have played great of late(this season).

But how can a team go from 0-12 to being so improved? It just kinda confuses me.

I personally think that they have been riding an emotional wave because of the new coaching staff. I also believe when you play with a lot of emotion you can burn out and get tired.

Let's hope they come in tired and overwelmed and we blow them out of the water. I'm not much for predictions but we better win this game.... I don't care how!

lol. Was the pun intended? I did tell fans (in the real world) that I "predicted" 6-6, and the season has not proven me wrong in the sense that each game has been 50-50, except for the opener.

Now with the injuries... oh geez I hope they all heal fast.

Guess what were freaking improved too and you know UW's defense is gonna be tired all day after we get done running all over them!...... and passing all over them! They got lucky just like stanford and OregonSt of the last couple of years. Their coach new coach kinda knows USC offense/defense inside out!

UW was a 18.5 point dog to LSU in the home opener and lost by 8, 23-31.

UW 21 point favorite against Idaho at home and won by 19, 42-23.

UW was a 19.5 point dog to USC at home and WON by 3, 16-13.

UW was a 9 point dog to Stanford on the road and LOST by 20, 14-34.


Southern Cal scored the fewest points on the Dawgs so far this season. Stanford the most. Gerhart ran for over 200 yds against a run defense ranked lower than ND's.

Four weeks ago nobody would have forecast a Trap Game for 0-12 Huskies. Stanford may be the better team but I suspect UW was still rewatching the video clips of the USC game and without the adrenlin rush crashed against Stanford. Stanford got a 97 yd kickoff return on the opening kickoff before sleeping dogs knew what hit them.

Well, you have to figure Coach Sark is going to have his team all whipped up with lots of energy. Coming from SC, his anti-ND attitude will come out and he will get them really fired up. However, I think if we get off to a fast start, they will wilt.

I am going to go out on a limb and say we win by 17 and the issue is never in doubt. I think this game will show a lot of progress going in to the bye week.

Exactly why I said I was "going out on a limb." If I was picking with what appears to be the consensus here, I would have been more in line with your estimate. However, I called my shot. If it doesn't play out that way, feel free to come back after the game and take some shots. I will happily eat my crow (that is, as long as CTF doesn't eat it all before I get to the table).

I stand by my prediction. We will jump out early and stay on top. I don't think we put it ALL together on Saturday, but I think we find some missing pieces and start to lay the groundwork for the rest of the season.

We hit them hard with AA and Hughes, control the clock, and out D gets us four to seven stops for the win.

Agreed. If we can win this game it would boost are moral through the golden dome. Just in time for the USC @ Notre Dame showdown. 11-1 won't come easy but, I think we can do it.

welcome aboard TheGoldenDomer. This game is a trap game because we play USC next and Locker is an x factor. Notre Dame is a betterteam and their d is suspect.

We play at home and they are gonna play with alot of passion. I would love to see the defense play a bit more conservatively and come more with timely blitzes like they did aganst Purdue.

If Jimmy is close to 100% than it should be over quick but i dontcare if its another squeeker as long as we win.

This game is going to be a true test of the quality of both of these football teams. You could have said that for any game thus far, but this Washington game will tell us fans what kind of team we have in south bend. My keys to success are this.

-Secondary.. pass rush- pete Carroll claims this is the best QB he has played in nine years. (may have been different quote had they won!)

-Running Game.. The Irish have to establish a running game due to the fact that Washington has only allowed 3 tds through the air and are allowing only 185 yds/passing a game

-Halftime adjustments.. The Irish have been in control going into halftime all year, but have failed keep up their first half pace (other than Nevada)

The big thing ND has going for them is they are at home. Crowd will play a big role in this one. Oh yea, did i mention we have a Heisman at the Helm. Run the ball and let jimmy pick 'em apart when they are least expecting it. GO IRISH!!!
